''Steve Harvey'' is a syndicated daytime talk show that ran for five seasons from September 4, 2012, to July 13, 2017, with a total of 920 episodes during its run. It was hosted by comedian and media personality Steve Harvey and taped at the NBC Tower studios in Chicago, Illinois. The show was produced by Endemol Shine North America and distributed by NBCUniversal Television Distribution. On November 11, 2016, it was announced that ''Steve Harvey'' would end at the conclusion of the 2016–17 season. Concurrently, it was announced that Harvey would host a new talk show beginning the following season, ''Steve'', which was produced in Los Angeles in partnership with IMG and NBCUniversal Television Distribution. ''The Steve Harvey Show'' is an American television sitcom that aired on The WB from August 25, 1996, to February 17, 2002. It was created by Winifred Hervey and directed by Stan Lathan. Synopsis Steve Hightower (Steve Harvey) is a 1970s funk legend who is now a music teacher/vice principal at Booker T. Washington High School on Chicago's West Side. Budget cutbacks meant Steve also had to teach drama and art, much to his surprise. Cedric Robinson (Cedric the Entertainer) is a coach at the high school, and Steve's longtime best friend. The principal of Booker T. Washington High is Steve's former classmate, Regina Grier (Wendy Raquel Robinson), whom Steve affectionately calls "Piggy", because she was overweight in childhood. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is an American professional service organization founded in 1955 for "the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry".
