Charles Giblyn
Charles Giblyn (September 6, 1871 – March 14, 1934) was an American film director and actor of the silent era. He directed nearly 100 films between 1912 and 1927. He also appeared in 23 films between 1914 and 1934. He was one of the founders of the Motion Picture Directors Association. Beginning in 1914, Giblyn worked with the Universal Motion Picture Manufacturing Company. He founded Albion Productions, a film production company, in 1922. Giblyn was also the screenwriter for ''Scandal'' (1917). On Broadway, Giblyn acted in ''The Song of the Sword'' (1899), ''Wheels Within Wheels'' (1899), and ''The Ambassador'' (1900). Giblyn was born in Watertown, New York and died in Los Angeles, California. Dorothy Wallace (actress)
Dorothy Irene Wallace Andreoli is an American number theorist, mathematical biologist, and mathematics educator. She is a professor of mathematics at Dartmouth College. Education Wallace is a graduate of Yale University. She completed her Ph.D. in 1982 at the University of California, San Diego. Her dissertation, ''Selberg's Trace Formula and Units in Higher Degree Number Fields'', concerned number theory and was supervised by Audrey Terras. Violet Elizabeth Malone (stage name Molly Malone) (December 7, 1888 – February 14, 1952) was an American actress of the silent film era. She appeared in more than 80 films between 1916 and 1929. Her father, Lewis Malone, was a metallurgist for mining companies. Her mother was Violet St. John, born in Nebraska to immigrant parents from England. She started her movie career at the relatively late age of 29 but soon caught the eye of comedic actor and director Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle who cast her in a number of his shorts including ''Back Stage'' and '' The Garage'' plus his feature film '' The Round-Up''. Edward Lamar Johnstone (March 15, 1884 – May 21, 1919) was an American silent film actor and director. Biography Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Johnstone starred in 82 films as an actor between 1911 and his death in 1919. He often starred alongside Dorothy Gibson, an actress who survived the sinking of the ''Titanic''. Johnstone directed three films; one in 1913 called ''Truth in the Wilderness'', starring Charlotte Burton, ''The Turning Point'' (1914), and ''The Unforgiven'' (1915).
