''The Sound of a Million Dreams'' is the second studio album by American country music artist David Nail. It was released on November 15, 2011 via MCA Nashville. Content The album includes the number one single " Let It Rain", which features Sarah Buxton on backing vocals, and the title track, which peaked at number 38 on the country music charts. "Grandpa's Farm" was also recorded by Frankie Ballard on his 2011 self-titled album, and "Desiree" by The Ranch, a band fronted by Keith Urban, on their 1997 self-titled debut. Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum co-wrote the track "I Thought You Knew". David Brent Nail (born May 18, 1979) is an American country music artist, and frontman of the band ''David Nail & The Well Ravens''. In 2002, he debuted the single "Memphis" from an unreleased album for Mercury Records Nashville. Five years later, he signed with MCA Nashville, for which he has released four studio albums: ''I'm About to Come Alive'', '' The Sound of a Million Dreams'', ''I'm a Fire'', and '' Fighter'' plus two extended plays, ''1979'' and ''Uncovered''. David Wesley Haywood (born July 5, 1982) is an American country musician and songwriter. He is one-third of the American country music band Lady A, in which he plays guitar, piano and mandolin, and sings backing vocals. Early life Haywood's father, Van, is a dental instructor/dentist who invented a tooth-whitening method (originally discovered by Bill Klusmeier) and his mother, Angie, is a teacher. Mark Otis Selby (September 2, 1961 – September 18, 2017) was an American blues rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Born in Enid, Oklahoma, he was a solo artist, signed to ZYX Records in Europe, and one half of performing duo with his wife, songwriter Tia Sillers. He also played guitar in recording sessions for musical artists such as Kenny Rogers, Johnny Reid, Keni Thomas, Jimmy Hall, and Wynonna Judd.
