''The Skin Game'' ( nl, Hard tegen hard) is a 1921 British-Dutch silent drama film adapted from the 1920 play by John Galsworthy and directed by B. E. Doxat-Pratt. Edmund Gwenn and Helen Haye later reprised their respective roles as Mr. Hornblower and Mrs. Hillcrist in the 1931 sound version directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Maurits Binger
Maurits Binger (5 April 1868 – 9 April 1923) was a Dutch film director, producer and screenwriter of the silent era. He directed 39 films between 1913 and 1922 and is considered one of the pioneers of fictional films in the Netherlands. Binger's studio and base of operations was in Haarlem, North Holland. Between 1919 and 1923 he was managing director of Anglo-Hollandia an attempt to break into the larger British market. There is a film institute in the Netherlands in his name. He is sometimes referred to as Maurice Binger. Meggie Albanesi
Margherita Cecilia Brigida Lucia Maria Albanesi (8 October 1899—9 December 1923) was a British stage and film actress. Life and career She was born in London on 8 October 1899. Her father was Italian-born Carlo Albanesi (1856-1926), a pianist and teacher at Royal Academy of Music, while her mother was Effie Adelaide Rowlands, a writer who published over 100 romance novels. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and appeared on the stage in ''The School for Scandal'', '' Mr. Todd's Experiment'' and '' A Pair of Spectacles''. She appeared in small film roles in ''The Romance of Old Bill'', ''Darby and Joan'' and '' Mr. Wu''.
