The Silent Playground
''The Silent Playground'' is a 1963 British thriller film written and directed by Stanley Goulder and starring Bernard Archard, Jean Anderson and Roland Curram. Plot In Greenwich, London, just before Christmas, Mavis Nugent, a young widow, drops her children outside the cinema for Saturday morning pictures so that she can go to work at a local haberdashers. A man approaches the cinema queue and gives out handfuls of what the children take to be sweets. At the end of the film showing the cinema staff find several of the children unconscious with barbiturate poisoning. A police investigation begins, led by Inspector Duffy. After one of the children blacks out in the street, a friend of his shows the police two types of capsules. At the hospital Dr Green and the nurses fight to save the children. After his mother realises that her adult son does not have all of the mental health medication that had been dispensed to him that morning, the hunt shifts to a nervous and vulnerable hosp ...

Roland Curram
Roland Curram (born 1932) is an English actor and novelist. Curram was educated at Brighton College and has had a long film, television and theatre career. His appearances include Julie Christie's travelling companion in her Oscar-winning film '' Darling'' and expatriate Freddie in the BBC soap opera ''Eldorado''. In 1979, he played Brian Pilbeam in the first series of ''Terry and June''. The Pilbeams were Terry and June's annoying neighbours until the Sprys moved in. He also starred as Harold Perkins in the acclaimed BBC TV series ''Big Jim and the Figaro Club'' which was broadcast in July and August 1981. He was married from 1964 until 1985 to the actress Sheila Gish, with whom he had two daughters, the actors Lou Gish (1967–2006) and Kay Curram (born 1974). Curram came out as gay in the early 1990s, and has since left acting to carve out a second career as a novelist. Donald Tandy
Donald Eric Tandy (20 December 1918 – 9 May 2014) was an English actor who appeared in over a dozen films (usually in minor or uncredited roles) and several dozens of televisions shows during his career. He played potman Tom Clements in ''EastEnders'' from 1986 through 1988. Career Tandy started his career in 1950 in the low-budget film '' Chance of a Lifetime''.
