The Shuttleworths
''The Shuttleworths'' is a British radio comedy that aired between 1993 and 2010, as five series and numerous specials on BBC Radio 4. It features "versatile singer/songwriter from Sheffield" John Shuttleworth, his family, and his neighbours, all performed by comedian Graham Fellows. Format The show revolves around John Shuttleworth and his family. Each episode is fifteen minutes long, which is narrated by John Shuttleworth himself. The episodes are recorded in a cassette tape made by John, featuring John's commentary addressed directly to the listener and eavesdropping on his own daily life. Characters include his wife (Mary), neighbour, agent Ken Worthington, their two teenage children Darren and Karen, and Mary's friend, Joan Chitty, all voiced by Graham Fellows. BBC Radio Collection
AudioGO (formerly BBC Audiobooks) was a publisher of audiobooks and a range of spoken word and large-print titles. It was majority owned by AudioGO Ltd, and minority owned by BBC Worldwide. It was formed in 2010, when AudioGO purchased a majority share in BBC Audiobooks, and traded until it went into administration in 2013. AudioGO published unabridged audio novels, and the BBC Radio Collection which incorporated dramatisations and non-fiction output derived from BBC Radio programmes. Novels were published under the imprint ''AudioGO'', and BBC-sourced content under the ''BBC Audio'' imprint, the latter making up about 20% of new titles as at 2010. Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore and subsequently featured in literature and film. According to legend, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. In some versions of the legend, he is depicted as being of noble birth, and in modern retellings he is sometimes depicted as having fought in the Crusades before returning to England to find his lands taken by the Sheriff. In the oldest known versions he is instead a member of the yeoman class. Traditionally depicted dressed in Lincoln green, he is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor. Boothby Graffoe (comedian)
Boothby Graffoe (born James Martyn Rogers, 1962) is an English comedian, singer, songwriter and playwright. He is particularly known for his surreal sense of humour and work with Canadian band Barenaked Ladies. Early life Rogers was born in 1962 in Kingston upon Hull, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. For the latter part of his schooling, he attended Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle. The League Against Tedium
Simon Munnery, also known as his characters "Alan Parker: Urban Warrior" and "The League Against Tedium", is an English comedian. He performs mainly to an alternative audience but has pierced the mainstream both with his BBC Radio 1 show in 1997 and his BBC2 television series ''Attention Scum!'' in 2001.
