The Second Man (1959 Film)
The Second Man is 1959 Egyptian action written and directed by Ezz El-Dine Zulficar and produced by Salah Zulfikar. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Samia Gamal, Sabah, Salah Zulfikar and Rushdy Abaza. Plot Ismat Kazem is the second man in an international gang between Cairo and Beirut, and no one knows who the first man is, who lives most of his time in a cabaret and around him is his mistress, the dancer Samra, who does not want to recognize his daughter from Samra and attributes her to a bar worker. He falls in love with Lamia, but she ignores his feelings and decides to marry a rich man. The first man issues an order to kill Ibrahim, Lamia's brother, because he went out of his way, so Lamia reports to the police and asks to know who the killers of her brother are. Ezz El-Dine Zulficar
Ezz El-Dine Ahmed Mourad Zulficar (Egyptian Arabic: عز الدين ذو الفقار, ; October 28, 1919 – July 1, 1963) was an Egyptian film director, screenwriter, actor and producer known for his distinctive style, which blends romance and action. Zulficar is widely regarded one of the most influential filmmakers in Egyptian Cinema's golden age. Early life Ezz El-Dine Ahmed Mourad Zulficar was born in Cairo on 28 October 1919, his father Ahmed Mourad Bek Zulfikar was a senior director of police and his mother Nabila Hanem Zulfikar was a housewife. Mounir Mourad or Monir Morad ( ar, منير مراد, 13 January 1922 - 17 October 1981), born Maurice Zaki Mourad Mordechai, was an Egyptian singer, actor and composer of popular songs. His compositions included film songs for famous stars such as Sharifa Fadel und Sabah, as well as duets for Egyptian actress Shadia and actor Abdel Halim Hafez. He played the leading roles in a few Egyptian films, the most famous being "Wishing you a Good Day" (Naharak Sa'id). Salah El Din Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar ( ar, صلاح ذو الفقار; ; 18 January 1926 – 22 December 1993) was an Egyptian actor and film producer. He started his career as a police officer in the Egyptian National Police, before becoming an actor in 1956. He is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar had roles in more than hundred feature films in multiple genres during a 37-year career, mostly as the leading actor. In 1996, in the centenary of Egyptian cinema, ten of his films as an actor and five of his films as a producer were listed in the Top hundred Egyptian films of the 20th century.
