Amir Naderi
Amir Naderi ( fa, امیر نادری (), born 15 August 1946, in Abadan) is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, and photographer. He is best known for '' The Runner'' and ''Vegas: Based on a True Story''. Career Amir Naderi grew up in Abadan, a working-class port city in the south of Iran. He became interested in photography and cinema at an early age. As a filmmaker he was inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson's photography of urban experience and everyday life, as well as the aesthetics of Italian neorealist cinema, such as location shooting, the use of nonprofessional actors, looser narrative structures, and a focus on the plight of poor and working-class people. Naderi's early films explored similar themes and visual strategies, but they did so within the context of Iranian life and culture. Naderi made his directorial debut with ''Goodbye Friend'' in 1971. ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. Behrouz Gharibpour ( fa, بهروز غریبپور) (born 1950 in Sanandaj) is an Iranian theatre director and pioneer of traditional Persian puppet theatre. He studied theatre at Tehran University and at ''Dramatic Arts Academy'' in Rome (Silvio D'Amico). He founded Tehran and Esfahan puppet theatre centres and changed Tehran's slaughterhouse into the greatest Iran's Cultural Centre. Majid Niroumand
Madjid Niroumand ( fa, مجید نیرومند) was an Iranian child actor. He is best known for playing the lead role of Amiro in Amir Naderi's '' The Runner'' (1984), which is regarded as one of the seminal films in modern Iranian cinema. The director discovered him after a six-month search for a suitable lead, having spotted Niroumand in a newspaper photograph of four youngsters who won a race. He also appeared in Naderi's follow-up movie ''Water, Wind, Dust'' (1989). In the 1990s, Niroumand moved to Norway and afterwards made his way to the United States, eventually settling in California. Firooz Malekzadeh ( fa, فیروز ملکزاده) was one of Iran's top cinematographers in the 1970s and 1980s. He has worked on over 50 films in Iran with many respected directors including Bahram Beizai, Abbas Kiarostami and Amir Naderi. The New York Times critic Janet Maslin praised Malekzadeh's work on the 1990 film ''Bashu, the Little Stranger'' as "beautifully photographed;" the Routledge Encyclopedia of Films called ''Bashu'' "a seminal work in the history of post-Revolutionary Iranian cinema." Bahrām Beyzāêi (also spelt Beizāi, Beyzāêi, fa, بهرام بیضائی; born 26 December 1938) is an Iranian playwright, theatre director, screenwriter, film editor, and '' ostād'' ("master") of Persian letters, arts and Iranian studies. Beyzaie is the son of the poet Ne'matallah Beyzai (best known by his literary pseudonym "Zokā'i"). The celebrated poet Adib Beyzai, known as one of the most profound poets of 20th-century Iran, is Bahram's paternal uncle.
