The Royal Family Of Broadway (musical)
''The Royal Family of Broadway'' is a musical by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin based on the 1927 play ''The Royal Family'' by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber. It premiered at the Barrington Stage Company in June 2018. Productions The musical is set in the 1920s and loosely based on the legendary Barrymore family. An earlier version of the same show had an invite-only workshop in 1998. William Finn
William Alan Finn (born February 28, 1952) is an American composer and lyricist. He is best known for his musicals, which include ''Falsettos'', for which he won the 1992 Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical, ''A New Brain'' (1998), and ''The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'' (2005). Early life Finn was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Scott Wise
Scott Wise (born October 30, 1958) is an American theatre actor and dancer. He is known for his performances in the 1989 musical ''Jerome Robbins' Broadway'', which earned him a Tony Award, and in the 2002 film ''Chicago''. Wise was nominated for three Tony Awards (winning one), two Drama Desk Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and a Helen Hayes Award in his career. Jerome Herbert "Chip" Zien (born March 20, 1947) is an American actor. He is best known for playing the lead role of the Baker in the original Broadway production of ''Into the Woods'' by Stephen Sondheim. Will Swenson (actor)
William Swenson (born October 26, 1972) is an American actor and singer best known for his work in musical theatre. He also has developed a film career, primarily in LDS cinema. Early life Swenson was born in Provo, Utah, Provo, Utah. Two of his grandparents, James Nathan Hale and Ruth Hale (playwright and actress), Ruth Hale, were playwrights; Ruth was also an actor. Swenson moved throughout the United States during his childhood. John Rando is an American stage director who won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for '' Urinetown the Musical'' in 2002. John Dossett (born April 15, 1958) is an American actor and singer. Early life and education Dossett attended Mount Pleasant High School in Wilmington, Delaware, from 1972 through 1976, where he was an announcer for the school's radio station, WMPH, and appeared in student theater productions.
