''The Rosebud Beach Hotel'' is a 1984 American comedy film directed by Harry Hurwitz and starring Colleen Camp, Peter Scolari, Christopher Lee, and Fran Drescher. Plot After taking over a failing Miami hotel with her workaholic fiancé Elliot (Peter Scolari), Tracy (Colleen Camp) thinks model Monique Gabrielle is sleeping with him. She then tries to have an affair of her own, and arranges for hookers to become bellhops. Meanwhile, her father hires an arsonist to blow up the hotel. Harry Hurwitz
Harry Hurwitz (January 27, 1938 – September 21, 1995) was an American film director, screenwriter, actor and producer. Biography Hurwitz attended The High School of Music & Art and New York University, where he received a B.S. in 1960 and an M.A. in 1962. Before becoming a director, Hurwitz worked intermittently as a drawing, painting and filmmaking instructor at various institutions, including New York University, the State University of New York at New Paltz, Cooper Union, Parsons School of Design, Queens College, Purchase College, the New York Institute of Technology and the Pratt Institute. His directorial debut film ''The Projectionist'' included the first acting role for actor/comedian Rodney Dangerfield. He often used the pseudonym Harry Tampa. In the early 1970s, Hurwitz was an artist-in-residence at the University of South Florida in Tampa. MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Jody Cortez
Jody Cortez (born 1960) is an American studio musician. A drummer, Cortez began his professional career at the age of 21 as a member of Boz Scaggs' live band in 1981. Cortez played drums on glam metal band Cinderella (band), Cinderella's 1986 debut album ''Night Songs (Cinderella album), Night Songs'' after band drummer Jim Drnec was unable to complete the drum parts in studio and was fired. Fred Coury would later be hired as the band's permanent drummer. Though never an official member of Cinderella, the earliest pressing of ''Night Songs'' features a photo of Cortez on the back cover, though Coury was pictured on the album's front cover photo and listed as a band member in the liner notes. Cortez has worked with David Crosby and played on the live version of the hit single "Hero" by Crosby and Phil Collins. Willie Colón
William Anthony Colón Román (born April 28, 1950) is an American salsa musician and social activist. He began his career as a trombonist and also sings, writes, produces and acts. He is also involved in the politics of New York City. Colón is considered a pioneer of Salsa music and a best-selling artist in the genre, having been a key figure in the nascent New York City scene associated with the legendary Fania Records. He is also noteworthy for having assumed the gangster image in his album covers before it was culturally popular.
