The Room's Too Cold
''The Room's Too Cold'' is the debut studio album by the American rock band The Early November. Produced by Chris Badami, it was released on October 7, 2003 through Drive-Thru Records. It was co-produced by the lead singer - Arthur 'Ace' Enders. The album also features a guest appearance from Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line, who was also signed to Drive-Thru at the time. The album peaked at number 107 on US ''Billboard'' 200. Recording ''The Room's Too Cold'' was recorded at Portrait Recording Studio in Lincoln Park, New Jersey with Chris Badami and Enders producing the sessions. The former also acted as engineer, with assistance from Michelle Dispenziere; Badami mixed the tracks before the album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New York City. The band recorded 17 songs in total, with 11 songs making the final track listing. Enders and Badami met with David Rimelis to arrange a string part for "Ever So Sweet". Matt Pryor (musician)
Matt Pryor is an American musician who lives in Lawrence, Kansas. He is best known as a founding member and the lead vocalist of The Get Up Kids, one of the most influential acts of the second-wave emo music scene. Early life Matt Pryor was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 16, 1978. He attended St Peter's Elementary and Bishop Miege High School, where he met his future wife. Pryor was raised Catholic, but described his experience with the church as "bigoted, mysoginist & homophobic." Pryor's father played accordion when he was young, but otherwise describes his family as "not particularly musical." He described himself as a "young metalhead in grade school," citing Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue as early influences. Take Action Tour
The Take Action Tour is an annual spring tour that not only hosts several bands, but also tries to get people alerted about the issues with teen suicide, and ultimately tries to prevent it. The tour was created by both Sub City and Hopeless Records. A portion of the ticket sales and compilation CD sales are donated to the cause. In recent years, the tour has chosen bands that have fans more of the demographic age group. In 2011, Sub City Records announced a new beneficiary Sex, Etc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising teen awareness of sexually transmitted diseases and the benefits of safe sex. Sugarcult is an American rock band from Santa Barbara, California formed in 1999. The band currently consists of Tim Pagnotta (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Airin Older (bass guitar, backing vocals), Marko DeSantis (lead guitar), and Kenny Livingston (drums, percussion). History Formation (1998-99) Tim Pagnotta met ex-drummer Ben Davis during a cigarette break at school. Davis (who then played bass) and Pagnotta started to play together on a regular basis. Pagnotta met Airin Older in a music class where Pagnotta was copying Older's work. They became good friends and Pagnotta invited Older to join his band. Days Away was an American indie rock band based in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, formed in 1998. Biography Days Away formed in 1998 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. When first formed, the group consisted of Keith Goodwin (vocals/guitar), Matt Austin (guitar), Greg Itzen (guitar), Matt Haines (drums), and Chris Frangicetto (bass). Engine Down
Engine Down was an American rock band from Richmond, Virginia, active from 1996 to 2005. They were a part of the Washington, D.C. area post-hardcore movement, along with bands like The Dismemberment Plan, Q and Not U, and Faraquet. The lineup included Keeley Davis on guitar and vocals, Jason Wood on bass and vocals, Jonathan Fuller on guitar and backup vocals, and Cornbread Compton on drums. In early recordings, Wood and founding member Jeremy Taylor served as primary lead vocalists, but later in their career the duties of lead singer switched primarily to Davis. In 2005 Engine Down disbanded, following a farewell tour. Davis joined the band Sparta as lead guitarist. A Thorn for Every Heart (often abbreviated to ATFEH) is a post-hardcore band from Chino Hills, California. History A Thorn for Every Heart was started in early 2003 by Joel Ryan Holt (guitar) and Aaron Peck (drums). The original lineup of Holt, Peck, Kelvin Cruz (lead vocals), Jeff Harber (guitar, keyboard instrument, keys, backing vocals), Justin Powell (bass guitar, bass), and Joy Welling (violin) independently released their debut EP, ''Silence Is Golden'', in late 2003. The EP gained them internet exposure and created an underground following, leading to talks of a record deal with Interscope. Spitalfield was an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois signed to Victory Records. Formed in 1998, Spitalfield caught the attention of Victory Records with their 2002 release ''The Cloak And Dagger Club EP'' and a year later released their follow-up, ''Remember Right Now''. The band sold over 130,000 records and performed in nine countries over three continents before disbanding at the end of 2007.
