The Rolling Stones Concerts
Since forming in 1962, the English rock band The Rolling Stones have performed more than two thousand concerts around the world, becoming one of the world's most popular live music attractions in the process. The Stones first American tour happened in 1964-June. In their early years of performing, the band would undertake numerous short tours of the United Kingdom and North America, playing in small- and medium-size venues to audiences composed largely of screaming girls. As time moved on, their audience base expanded (in terms of both size and diversity) and they would increasingly favour larger arenas and stadiums. For many years, the group would choose to play North America, Continental Europe, and the United Kingdom on a three-year rotating cycle. Many audio recordings exist of Rolling Stones concerts, both official and unofficial. Seventeen official concert albums (eighteen in the US) have been released by the band, 6 of which were previously unreleased concert recording ...

The Rolling Stones (album)
''The Rolling Stones'' is the debut studio album by the English rock band of the same name, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. The American edition of the LP, with a slightly different track list, came out on London Records on 30 May 1964, subtitled ''England's Newest Hit Makers'', which later became its official title. Recording Recorded at Regent Sound Studios in London over the course of five days in January and February 1964, ''The Rolling Stones'' was produced by then-managers Andrew Loog Oldham and Eric Easton. The album was originally released by Decca Records in the UK, while the US version appeared on the London Records label. The majority of the tracks reflect the band's love for R&B. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (whose professional name until 1978 omitted the "s" in his surname) were fledgling songwriters during early 1964, contributing only one original composition to the album: " Tell Me (You're Coming Back)". Two songs are credited to "N ...

Tony Scaduto's 1974 work, ''Mick Jagger: Everybody's Lucifer'', gives an excellent overview (pp. 154-164) of this first U.S. tour by the Rolling Stones, including their time in New York City at the beginning of their tour and then their travels several days later into the heartland of America. "Their fantasies about America smashed against reality," Scaduto tells his readers (p. 159), including an excellent account of the b ...

Some of the gross may be higher than reported on this list because not all concerts are reported. '' Billboard'' and ''Pollstar'' regularly provide the official figure of concerts' gross revenue worldwide. Tours that span multiple decades are included in the decade that they concluded. Havana Moon
''Havana Moon'' is a 1983 album by Carlos Santana released as a solo project. It features covers of Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry songs and performances by Booker T & the MGs, Willie Nelson and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and also Carlos' father Jose singing "Vereda Tropical", a song Carlos had first heard when his father was serenading his mother following an argument. Reception J. D. Considine of ''Rolling Stone'' deemed Carlos Santana recording Tex-Mex music to be a natural fit, and felt that the Fabulous Thunderbirds were ideal collaborators for such a project. He particularly praised the renditions of "Who Do you Love" and "Havana Moon" for throwing in inspired Tex-Mex elements while staying true to the appeal of the original recordings. However, he found the album's roaming to other styles on the six cuts recorded without the Fabulous Thunderbirds to be dissatisfying, remarking, "It's not so much that ''Havana Moon'' is inconsistent — although it's that, too — as it is co ...

América Latina Olé
América Latina Olé was a concert tour by The Rolling Stones, which began on 3 February 2016 in Santiago and made stops in La Plata, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Lima, Bogotá, Mexico City and ended in Havana with a free show on 25 March 2016. The tour was chronicled on two video releases: '' The Rolling Stones: Havana Moon'', which documented the final show, and '' Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America'', a documentary following the band across the continent. History On 17 September 2015, the Spanish newspaper '' El Mundo'' revealed that the Rolling Stones were (at the time) in final negotiations to perform for the very first time in Cuba, at the end of March 2016 (on 20 or 21 March). The location would be Havana and the venue the Estadio Latinoamericano (Latin American Stadium), a facility with capacity for 55,000 people. Keith Richards confirmed the negotiations with the Cubans, adding that Cuba had taken it seriously, following the opening ...
