''The Rocky Horror Punk Rock Show'' is an album featuring the soundtrack of the 1975 cult film ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'' as performed by modern punk rock bands. The album was released in 2003 on Springman Records. Background The album started as a project by Shawn "Eddie Migraine" Browning, who got the idea from his wife. Work for the project started in 1999. Browning said he was a "huge Rocky Horror fan back in High School", and that the show was "where some of us fit in" and "brought us all together". The Secretions
The Secretions were an American punk rock band from Sacramento, California, United States. Formed in the year 1991, the band had released numerous albums and singles, and toured the US and internationally. History Mickie Rat attended Sacramento State University where he met D.J. Willis (a guitarist with whom he worked on the college radio station) and a drummer named Dave Leon. They decided to form a band, naming it "The Secretions" based on a list of band names Willis kept on his fridge. Shortly after the decision to form the band, Willis died in a vehicular accident. Mickie Rat met Danny Secretion (who had worked on the radio station, but whom he had never met) at Willis's funeral, and recruited him as a guitarist. The original band lineup was Mickie Rat on bass, Dave Leon on drums, and Danny Secretion on guitar. Steve Rolston (born 8 February 1978) is a Canadian artist and writer of comic books and graphic novels currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia. After working in story boards for various animated series, he got his first break from Oni Press as the penciler and inker of the first four issues of their on-going ''Queen & Country'' comic series by praised author Greg Rucka. Artists and repertoire (colloquially abbreviated to A&R) is the division of a record label or music publishing company that is responsible for talent scouting and overseeing the artistic development of recording artists (singers, instrumentalists, bands, and so on) and songwriters. Tsunami Bomb
The tsunami bomb was an attempt during World War II to develop a tectonic weapon that could create destructive tsunamis. The project commenced after US Navy officer E.A. Gibson noticed small waves generated by explosions used to clear coral reefs. The idea was developed by the United States and New Zealand military in a programme code named Project Seal. The weapons concept was deemed feasible, but the weapons themselves were never fully developed or used. Big D and the Kids Table is a ska punk band formed in October 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts when its members converged in college. Their first release was on their own Fork in Hand Records label, but have since teamed with Springman Records and SideOneDummy. The band has been noted for its strict DIY work ethic, such as engineering, producing, and releasing their own albums and videos and self-promotion of their own shows. The band released Good Luck in 1999 on Asian Man Records and quickly gained a large underground audience. The album featured a 10 piece band, including six horn players. The album is characterized and widely liked due to its catchy horn melodies, along with its fun and energetic nature.
