The Road Home (Heart Album)
''The Road Home'', a live album released in 1995, is the fourteenth album overall by the rock group Heart. It chronicles a club performance in the "unplugged" style – but with strings – in their home city of Seattle. The setlist contains acoustic versions of many of the band's hits including " Alone", "Barracuda", and "Dreamboat Annie". The album was produced by John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, a band to whom Ann and Nancy Wilson paid tribute with their band the Lovemongers. "He was a prince among men," enthused Ann. The cover photograph shows an old picture of a young Ann & Nancy Wilson with a candle. The album reached number eighty-seven on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200. Heart (band)
Heart is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Seattle, Washington, as The Army. Two years later they changed their name to Hocus Pocus. The year following they changed their name to White Heart, and eventually changed the name a final time to Heart, in 1973. By the mid-1970s, original members Roger Fisher (guitar) and Steve Fossen (bass guitar) had been joined by sisters Ann Wilson (lead vocals and flute) and Nancy Wilson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Michael Derosier (drums), and Howard Leese (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) to form the lineup for the band's initial mid- to late-1970s success period. These core members were included in the band's 2013 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Heart rose to fame with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal, as well as folk music. Kit Hain
Kit Hain (born 15 December 1956) is a British musician, songwriter and writer. She was a member of the rock duo Marshall Hain and had a solo career as a performer and songwriter. Musical career Hain met Julian Marshall while they were pupils at Dartington Hall School, and together they formed the British pop-rock band Marshall Hain. Marshall played the keyboard, while Hain performed vocals and bass. Their 1978 single "Dancing in the City" reached No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart. However, the band split when Julian Marshall found the pressure too much. Hain's first release after the duo split was "The Joke's on You", for Harvest Records. She then signed to Deram Records and subsequently Mercury Records for several singles and albums. Hain moved to the United States in 1985 and forged a successful career as a songwriter. Sue Ennis
Sue Ennis is a songwriter from Seattle, Washington. She has co-written over 80 songs with Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson of the band Heart. Career Ennis' songwriting with Heart includes " Straight On", " Even It Up" and " Dog & Butterfly", and she has been a member of the band The Lovemongers with the Wilsons and Frank Cox. Nancy Lamoureux Wilson (born March 16, 1954) is an American musician. She rose to fame alongside her older sister Ann as a guitarist, backing and occasional lead vocalist in the rock band Heart.
