The Right Man
''The Right Man'' is a 1925 American silent drama film directed by Jack Harvey. It stars George Larkin and Mary Beth Milford. Plot As described in a film magazine review, Mrs. Hoyt is infatuated with Dergan, the managing editor of her husband’s newspaper. Dergan buys a hat similar to Hoyt’s and then calls on Mrs. Hoyt. Moha, faithful to his master, shoots at Dergan but kills another maan, a crook. Mrs. Hoyt hides the hat. Tip O’Neil, a reporter, is aware of Dergan’s real villainy and the fact that Dergan is “playing” for the newspaper stock which Mrs. Hoyt owns. So when Dergan tries to win the affection of Mary Burton, who also works in the office. Tip gets busy and frustrates Dergan’s every move. Dergan finally gets shot by Moha when he attempts to take the stock certificates from Mrs. Hoyt. Jack Harvey (actor And Director)
Jack Harvey (born John Joseph Harvey; September 16, 1881 – November 9, 1954) was an American film actor, director and screenwriter, noted for his short films of the silent period. Among his directed films are '' A Dog's Love'' (1914) (the first of many collaborations with Shep, a well-trained Collie of the Thanhouser Company), ''When Fate Rebelled'' (1915), '' Fairy Fern Seed'' (1915), '' Kaiser's Finish'' (1918) and his last film ''No Babies Wanted'' (1928), accredited as John J. Harry L. Fraser (31 March 1889 – 8 April 1974) was an American film director and screenplay writer. Biography Born in 1889 in San Francisco, Fraser directed over 80 films between 1925 and 1951, including the 1934 John Wayne film ''Randy Rides Alone'' and the Frank Buck (animal collector), Frank Buck 1937 cliffhanger serial ''Jungle Menace''.
