The Return Of Josey Wales
''The Return of Josey Wales'' is a 1986 American Western film directed by and starring Michael Parks It is a sequel to Clint Eastwood's 1976 film ''The Outlaw Josey Wales'' and was adapted from ''The Vengeance Trail of Josey Wales'', the 1976 second novel featuring the Josey Wales character, by Asa Earl Carter. The novel was published under Carter's pen name, Forrest Carter, which he used to present a false persona involving a claim of Cherokee ancestry. The Eastwood film had been based on the author's 1973 novel '' The Rebel Outlaw: Josey Wales''. Eastwood had planned to adapt ''The Vengeance Trail of Josey Wales'' himself as a sequel to his original film, but his project was eventually cancelled. Synopsis Friends of veteran gunfighter Josey Wales are killed in Mexico by supporters of the executed Mexican Emperor Maximilian. Michael Parks
Michael Parks (born Harry Samuel Parks; April 24, 1940 – May 9, 2017) was an American singer and actor. He appeared in many films and made frequent television appearances, notably starring in the 1969–1970 series ''Then Came Bronson'', but was probably best known for his work in his later years with filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, and Kevin Smith. Personal life Parks was born in Corona, California. He drifted from job to job during his teenage years, including picking fruit, digging ditches, driving trucks, and fighting forest fires. Parks married five times. His first marriage in 1956 at age 16 to Louise Johnson lasted until 1958 and produced a daughter. His second marriage in 1964 to actress Jan Moriarty lasted only a few months, ending with her apparent suicide from an overdose.
