''The Return'' is the fourth studio album from American R&B group Hi-Five. It was released on October 11, 2005 on their own independent label, N'Depth Entertainment. It is the group's first studio album in twelve years as it also marks the final album ever to feature lead singer, Tony Thompson. Hi-Five
Hi-Five is an American R&B quintet from Waco, Texas. Hi-Five had a No. 1 hit on ''Billboards Hot 100 in 1991 with "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)". The band was formed in 1989 and consisted of founding and original members: Tony Thompson, Roderick "Pooh" Clark, Marcus Sanders, Russell Neal, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native, Toriano Easley. Early career Hi-Five was originally signed to Jive Records in late 1989 and released their eponymous debut album in 1990. The album was produced by Teddy Riley and went platinum. It included singles "I Just Can't Handle It" (R&B No. 10), " I Can't Wait Another Minute" (Pop No. 8, R&B No.1) and "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)", which went to number one on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (making it their biggest hit to date). ''Faithful'' is the third studio album from American contemporary R&B group Hi-Five, released October 26, 1993 via Jive Records. The album peaked at #105 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and at #23 on the '' Billboard'' R&B chart. Tony Thompson (singer)
Anthony Ulysses Thompson, Jr. (September 2, 1975 – June 1, 2007) was an American singer–songwriter. Thompson was best known as the lead vocalist of the American R&B quintet Hi-Five, which had hit singles such as "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" and " I Can't Wait Another Minute". After the group disbanded in 1994, Thompson found solo success the following year with his debut album '' Sexsational'' in 1995. Biography Thompson was born in Waco, Texas and raised in Oklahoma City. He was named after his father, Anthony Thompson, Sr. In 1984, he started singing solos in the local church choir at the age of eight. He then started singing in local talent shows. Local talent and up-and-coming artist William Walton reached out to Thompson in hopes of making his music dreams a reality. Paul Michael Slayton (born March 11, 1981), better known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper and DJ. He has spent much of his career affiliated with Swishahouse Records, and has released several albums under the label and collaborated with numerous other rappers signed to the label. He began his career performing alongside fellow Houstonian Chamillionaire, with whom he released several albums, including 2002's independently released ''Get Ya Mind Correct''. Bernard James Freeman (born March 19, 1973), known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK, Bun B has released five solo albums, including 2010's ''Trill OG'', which received the rare 5-mic rating from ''The Source''. He is also a guest lecturer at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas.
