MxPx () is an American pop punk band from Bremerton, Washington, founded in 1992 as Magnified Plaid. As of 2016, current members include Mike Herrera on lead vocals and bass guitar, Yuri Ruley on drums and percussion, Tom Wisniewski on lead guitar and backing vocals and Chris Adkins on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. ''The Ever Passing Moment'' is the fifth studio album by punk rock band MxPx, released on May 16, 2000. MxPx gained critical recognition for this album and landed a slot supporting for The Offspring and Cypress Hill on the ''Conspiracy of One'' tour. "Responsibility (song), Responsibility" proved to be a minor radio hit, peaking at #24 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart. Ten Years And Running
''Ten Years and Running'' is a compilation album by American punk rock band MxPx. Released on Tooth and Nail Records, the album consists of nineteen songs spanning MxPx's career, mostly from Tooth and Nail releases but including a song each from the A&M releases '' Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo'', '' The Ever Passing Moment'', '' The Broken Bones'', and Fat Wreck Chords' '' The Renaissance EP''. The band self-produced a re-recording of "Punk Rawk Show" and two new songs, "My Mistake" and "Running Away," for the compilation. A music video was made for "My Mistake." Tim Palmer either mixed or remixed all of the songs except "My Life Story" and "The Broken Bones." The album is not a greatest hits album, as it omits MxPx' more well-known singles "Responsibility" and "I'm OK, You're OK," but is considered a retrospective of the first ten years of the band. ''Ox-Fanzine'' is a monthly punk zine from Solingen, Germany, founded in 1988. It is edited by Joachim Hiller and has had many contributors. Besides its focus on punk subculture, it also covers similar genres, reviews of comics, books and films, and has included serial novels by authors such as Klaus N. Frick. By 2019, ''Ox'' had a circulation of 10,000 copies. History ''Ox-Fanzine'' was founded in 1988 by Joachim Hiller and Biggi Häußler in Heidenheim an der Brenz (Southern Germany). Its first issue was published in January 1989. The zine was named after the cat of Häußler, which appeared on the first cover. After some time, ''Ox'' merged with the zine ''Faces the Facts'' and was joined by its editor Thomas Hähnel, but eventually Häußler and Hähnel left it to focus on other endeavours, leaving Hiller as the only editor. Background Due to the success of MxPx's "Chick Magnet", from their previous album, '' Life in General'', the band signed a multi-album contract with A&M.Reece 1998, p. 18 A&M had previously signed a deal with Tooth & Nail to co-market ''Life in General''. This market deal was "cobbled together in order to sign the band", according to A&M chairman Al Cafaro.
