''The Red Glove'' is a 1919 American film serial directed by J. P. McGowan for Universal. The film is considered to be lost. Plot Walcamp played a "fearless cowgirl" engaged in "perilous adventures" in the cliffhanger style. One episode featured a train robbery, and that scene was filmed at the Sierra Railway on May 26, 1919. Isabel Ostrander
Isabel Egenton Ostrander (1883–1924) was a mystery writer of the early twentieth century who used her own name and the pseudonyms Robert Orr Chipperfield, David Fox, and Douglas Grant. Christopher B. Booth is sometimes (falsely) credited as a pseudonym of hers. She was born in New York City to Thomas E Ostrander and Harriet Elizabeth Bradbrook. Her Ostrander pedigree goes back to seventeenth-century Kingston, New York. She married songwriter Arthur J. Lamb in June 1907 and filed for divorce 11 months later. In the discussions of which writer invented the blind detective, Ostrander is one of the candidates. The first book publication of her Damon Gaunt is a 1915 novel ''At One-Thirty'', but there might be a misplaced earlier short story: periodical publication of many mystery short story writers is often lost or partial. William J. Dyer (March 11, 1881 – December 22, 1933) was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in dozens of films, mostly Westerns and action films, between 1915 and 1933. This is a list of film serials by studio, separated into those released by each of the five major studios, and the remaining minor studios. The five major studios produced the greater number of serials. Of these the main studios are considered to be Columbia Pictures, Universal Pictures, and Republic Pictures. All three were active during the 1930s and 1940s. The other two major studios are Mascot Pictures, which later merged into Republic, and Pathé Exchange, which ceased serial production before the advent of sound.
