''The Real Seachange'' is an Australian reality television series on the Seven Network, narrated by actor John Howard. The series follows families, couples and singles who leave the big cities behind in search of a better life. This phenomenon is known as a seachange. The title also references Howard's former role on the popular drama series ''SeaChange ''SeaChange'' is an Australian television program that ran from 1998 to 2000 on the ABC and in 2019 on the Nine Network. John Howard (Australian Actor)
John Howard (born 22 October 1952) is an Australian stage and screen actor. Howard is best known for his appearances in the television series ''Blue Heelers'', ''SeaChange'', ''Always Greener'', '' All Saints'' and ''Packed to the Rafters''. Career Film Howard was born in Corowa, New South Wales. He graduated from National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). His first role was '' The Club.'' He appeared in the 1988 film ''Young Einstein'', the 2001 film ''The Man Who Sued God'', the 2006 film Jindabyne and had a minor supporting role in the 2012 Australian comedy ''Any Questions for Ben?'', along with the 2015 film '' Mad Max: Fury Road''. The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. In Australian culture, a seachange (or sea change) is a form of human migration where individuals abandon Urbanism, city living for a perceived easier life in rural coastal communities. SeaChange
''SeaChange'' is an Australian television program that ran from 1998 to 2000 on the ABC and in 2019 on the Nine Network. It was created by Andrew Knight and Deborah Cox and starred Sigrid Thornton, David Wenham, William McInnes, John Howard, Tom Long, Kevin Harrington, and Kerry Armstrong. The director was Michael Carson. Premise Laura Gibson (Sigrid Thornton), a high-flying city lawyer, is prompted to undergo a 'seachange' with her children Miranda and Rupert after her husband is arrested for fraud and is found to have had an affair with her sister. Laura becomes the magistrate for the small coastal town of Pearl Bay. The town is isolated from the rest of the world since the local bridge was destroyed in one of the natural disasters common to Pearl Bay.
