The Rabbit Man
''The Rabbit Man'' ( sv, Kaninmannen) is a 1990 Swedish Drama film, drama-psychological thriller directed by Stig Larsson (author), Stig Larsson, about a rapist whose father unknowingly investigates his crimes for a commercial television programme. The film sparked controversy because of its nude scenes and difficult subject, handled with an unconventional narrative style. The title refers to a nickname given by newspapers to a real rapist Larsson read about in the 1970s, who lured young girls into his apartment by telling them he was keeping rabbits there that he wanted to save from being exposed to animal testing. Börje Ahlstedt won the award for Guldbagge Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor for his part as the rapist's father at the 26th Guldbagge Awards. Stig Håkan Larsson is a Swedish writer of novels, dramas, poetry, political essays and short stories, film writer, director and actor. Biography Larsson was born on 20 July 1955, in Skellefteå, Västerbottens län. He grew up in Umeå and currently lives in Stockholm. In the late 1970, his namesake and friend, Stieg Larsson, ne Stig, the well-known author of the Millennium series, changed slightly the spelling of his first name to avoid confusion with Stig, by then a well-known writer. Larsson was a member of the '' Kris'' editorial staff. Jan Krister Allan Henriksson (born 12 November 1946) is a Swedish actor. He is perhaps best known for playing Kurt Wallander in the television films based on the novels by Henning Mankell. Early life Henriksson was born in Grisslehamn, Norrtälje Municipality, Sweden and is the son of the fishmonger Allan Henriksson and Gunvor (née Sjöblom).
