The Quarters are an Australian alternative rock band, formed in Melbourne in 2005. The band shot to fame in 2007 after they were chosen by Grinspoon to open a Melbourne music festival which included acts such as Grinspoon, The Butterfly Effect and Little Birdy. The Rock and Roll outfit is composed of Christopher James (vocals/guitar), Stephanie Jane (vocals/bass) and Braiden Mann (drums). History On 12 November 2005 The Quarters formed as a band in order to fill a vacancy in the Pakenham McDonald's’ McHappy Day Charity Show. A successful first public appearance ensured that when fans expressed interest in further performances Chris, Steph and previous drummer Ivan decided to continue the formation of their band. The Quarters, Hursley Park
The Quarters is a cricket ground located off Hursley Park Road in the grounds of the former Hursley Park Estate at Hursley, Hampshire, England. Set in rural surroundings, the ground is surrounded by open countryside on all sides, with the north and east sides also being bordered by trees and a small woodland. The southern end is bordered by a small stream. The north east corner houses the older pavilion, while the north west corner houses a new pavilion. The ground includes two fields and in turn two bowling squares. History The first recorded match on the ground was played in 1983 between Hursley Park and Andover, though Hursley Park have been playing there for over 70 years. Hursley Park continued to use the ground throughout the remainder of the 1980s and into the 1990s, with the Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) first using the ground in 2001, playing an MCCA Knockout Trophy match against the Sussex Cricket Board. Boyle Street is a neighbourhood located in central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, immediately east of the downtown core. The neighbourhood is bounded by Grierson Hill to Rowland Road until Alex Taylor Road and then Jasper Avenue east until 82 Street by the south, 82 Street by the east, 97 Street by the west, and the LRT tracks to the north, with Jasper Avenue and 103A Avenue running through the neighbourhood. The Quarters (猪仔馆人家) is the fifth Malaysian production by MediaCorp Studios Malaysia. Filming began in September 2011 and took place in Muar, Johor, Malaysia and its rural surroundings. It is shown on weekdays at 7pm. It debuted in Singapore on 3 September 2012. The series is set during an era of samsui women, opium dens, pulled rickshaws and the laid back "kampung" lifestyle. It was also a time when waves of migrant workers and coolies from China settled in Singapore. Many of them were housed in large buildings such that as depicted by Zhu Zai House and multiple tenants would occupy a single room usually meant for one or two persons. Synopsis Set during the 1950s, the story revolves around the lives of the tenants living in an old building called No.8 "Zhu Zai House" (八号猪仔馆), which was left behind by Bai Duchang to his three grandsons Jinchuan, Jinfeng and Jinhai.
