''The Prison'' () is a 2017 South Korean prison action film directed by Na Hyun and starring Han Suk-kyu and Kim Rae-won. It was released on March 23, 2017. Premise An imprisoned ex-detective named Song Yoo-gun discovers that the prison is actually controlled by an inmate called Jung Ik-ho who has been running a crime syndicate with the help of the warden Kang, where he soon becomes the part of their syndicate in order to settle a few scores. Na Hyeon (, born 1970) is a South Korean screenwriter and film director. Kang Shin-il
Kang Shin-il (born November 26, 1960) is a South Korean actor. Kang graduated from Kyung Hee University with a degree in electronic engineering, but he soon put aside his studies and spent most of his time in Daehangno, Seoul's theater district, where he formed a troupe called ''Testimony'' that performed at smaller venues. In 1985, he made his acting debut in ''Chilsu and Mansu'', and soon gained fame as a stage actor in plays such as ''Kimchigook Goes Crazy'' and ''Chronicles of Han''.
