''The Power to Believe'' is the thirteenth and final studio album by English progressive rock band King Crimson. It was released on 4 March 2003 through Sanctuary Records and met with generally favourable reviews, with several critics appreciating its heightened aggression. It is the second and final album to feature the "Double Duo" lineup of Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Trey Gunn and Pat Mastelotto, and the last studio album to feature Belew and Gunn. ''The Power to Believe'' was preceded by the EP '' Happy with What You Have to Be Happy With'' (2002), which features alternate and otherwise unreleased tracks. King Crimson
King Crimson are a progressive rock band formed in 1968 in London, England. KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. Spanning thirty years and four albums, the series comprises five parts, all of which carry unifying musical motifs. Parts I and II were released as the introductory and final tracks on King Crimson's 1973 album of the same name, part III was featured on their 1984 album '' Three of a Perfect Pair'', part IV (itself divided into three identically titled parts) appeared on 2000's '' The Construkction of Light'', and the final part, "Level Five", was included on the 2003 album ''The Power to Believe''. ''Op Zop Too Wah'' is the tenth solo album by Adrian Belew. The original title was ''On'' with a close-up of an on/off switch as the cover. However, Belew noticed an English band, Echobelly, had released an album with the same title. ''Op Zop Too Wah'' comes from a series of nonsensical words Belew invented in high school with his friend, Mike Wilshire. Following the indifferent reception given to Belew's previous album (the experimental ''The Guitar As Orchestra''), ''Op Zop Too Wah'' is a return to more traditional songwriting. The album's mood is reminiscent of the more avant-garde approach carried out by The Beatles in the late 1960s on albums such as ''Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band''. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes.
