Although it was not featured on the record and was used as a B-side on the singles " Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge", "Soul to Squeeze" was later released as a single in 1993. The song was included in the ''Coneheads'' film soundtrack. "Soul to Squeeze" was eventually re-released for the 2003 ''Greatest Hits'' album. It can also be found on the band's ''Live Rare Remix Box'' and ''The Plasma Shaft''. "Soul to Squeeze" became a success when it peaked at number one on the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart. Red Hot Chili Peppers Compilation Albums
Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. It has a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres. It is a primary color in the RGB color model and a secondary color (made from magenta and yellow) in the CMYK color model, and is the complementary color of cyan. Reds range from the brilliant yellow-tinged scarlet and vermillion to bluish-red crimson, and vary in shade from the pale red pink to the dark red burgundy. Red pigment made from ochre was one of the first colors used in prehistoric art. The Ancient Egyptians and Mayans colored their faces red in ceremonies; Roman generals had their bodies colored red to celebrate victories. It was also an important color in China, where it was used to color early pottery and later the gates and walls of palaces. In the Renaissance, the brilliant red costumes for the nobility and wealthy were dyed with kermes and cochineal. The 19th century brought the ...

Breaking The Girl
"Breaking the Girl" is a song by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers from their fifth studio album, ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' (1991). It was released as the fourth single from their studio album in August 1992 and is a melodic ballad that refers to a turbulent relationship between frontman Anthony Kiedis and his former girlfriend, Carmen Hawk. Composition "Breaking the Girl"'s bridge is marked by a percussion break that builds through the use of increasingly complex rhythms. The percussion instruments consisted of junkyard debris found by drummer Chad Smith, guitarist John Frusciante, and bassist Flea. Frusciante's main riff was inspired by Led Zeppelin's ballads, such as "The Battle of Evermore" and " Friends". The song also makes use of a 12-string guitar and a Mellotron, using the flute patch. It is one of only six songs the group has recorded in the 6/8 time signature, the others being "Porcelain" on ''Californication'', "Love of Your Life" and "Open/Close" from the ...

Sikamikanico
"Under the Bridge" is a song by the American Rock music, rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and the eleventh track on their fifth studio album, ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' (1991). Vocalist Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics while reflecting on loneliness and the struggles of being clean from drugs, and almost did not share it with the band. Released in March 1992, "Under the Bridge" was praised by critics and fans for its emotional weight. The song was a commercial success and the band's highest-charting single, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and certified platinum. It was also a success in other countries, mostly charting in the Top 10. "Under the Bridge" helped the Red Hot Chili Peppers enter the mainstream. David Fricke of ''Rolling Stone'' said that the song "unexpectedly drop-kicked the band into the Top 10". The song has become an inspiration to other artists, and remains a seminal component of the alternative rock movement of the early and mid- ...

Nobody Weird Like Me
''Mother's Milk'' is the fourth studio and video album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released August 16, 1989, by EMI Records. After the death of founding guitarist Hillel Slovak and the subsequent departure of drummer Jack Irons, vocalist Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea regrouped with the addition of guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. Frusciante's influence altered the band's sound by placing more emphasis on melody than rhythm, which had dominated the band's previous material. Returning producer Michael Beinhorn favored heavy metal guitar riffs as well as overdubbing. Frusciante perceived Beinhorn's taste as excessive, and as a result, the two constantly fought over the album's guitar sound. ''Mother's Milk'' was a greater commercial success than the band's first three albums, peaking at number 52 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. It received widespread airplay for the three singles which included the cover of Stevie Wonder's " Higher Ground", "Knock ...

If You Have To Ask
"If You Have to Ask" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1991 studio album ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik''. It was released as the album's fifth and final single in 1993. A music video was made, but merely consists of live footage of the band from a 1992 show at the Winter Show Buildings in Wellington, New Zealand overdubbed with the original album track. The video is notable because it is one of only two videos to feature guitarist Arik Marshall (" Breaking the Girl" being the other). The video was rarely aired on music television and the song along with the video was not featured on the band's Greatest Hits album. Like the song " Aeroplane" from their 1995 album ''One Hot Minute'', it was one of the two music videos from the Warner era not available on their official app. The verses of the song consist of a scratchy, minimalist funk lick played on the guitar, with a busier bass melody playing behind it. The lyrics in the verses are a stream of consciousness style run ...

Give It Away (Red Hot Chili Peppers Song)
"Give It Away" is a song by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers from the group's fifth studio album, '' Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' (1991). It was released as the lead single from their album in September 1991 by Warner Bros. Records. The music was written by guitarist John Frusciante and bassist Flea during a jam session months prior to the album recording sessions. Vocalist Anthony Kiedis wrote the song's most prevalent lyrical refrain in response to an experience he shared with former girlfriend Nina Hagen regarding altruistic behavior and the value of selflessness. "Give It Away" went on to achieve international fame, reaching number one on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks in late 1991, giving the band their first ever number one single. In 1992 the single charted inside the top 75 of the US Hot 100 in the wake of the huge success of the record's second single " Under the Bridge". "Give It Away" also became the band's first top ten hit in the United Kingdom, where it ...

Blood Sugar Sex Magik
''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released September 24, 1991, by Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Rick Rubin, its musical style differed notably from the band's previous album '' Mother's Milk'' (1989), reducing the use of heavy metal guitar riffs and accentuating the melodic songwriting contributions of guitarist John Frusciante. The album's subject matter incorporates sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death, as well as themes of lust and exuberance. ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' peaked at number three on the US ''Billboard'' 200, and produced hit singles "Under the Bridge," " Give It Away," "Suck My Kiss," " Breaking the Girl" and "If You Have to Ask." The album propelled the band into worldwide popularity and critical acclaim. Frusciante quit the band during its 1992 tour, uncomfortable with fame; he rejoined in 1998. ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'' is widely recognized as an influential and seminal release o ...

Live Rare Remix Box
''Live Rare Remix Box'' is a compilation box set released by the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1994. It contains three CDs, which are named individually Live, Rare and Remix. The live, rare, and remix tracks in question are essentially the collected B-sides from all five singles taken from the band's hugely successful 1991 album, ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik''. Background Despite the world-wide success of ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik'', guitarist John Frusciante's 1992 departure from the band left them struggling through a string of guitarists until they recruited former Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro in 1993. Although the band recorded the instrumental tracks for their then forthcoming ''One Hot Minute'' album in 1994, singer Anthony Kiedis relapsed into drug use in late 1993 which delayed his recording of the vocal tracks until 1995, when the album was finally released. As a result of such delays, it is likely that the ''Live Rare Remix Box'' release was used as a stop-gap to appeas ...
