The Plan (Battlestar Galactica)
''Battlestar Galactica: The Plan'' is a television film set in the reimagined version of the fictional ''Battlestar Galactica'' universe. It consists of newly filmed material as well as a compilation of footage from the 2003 miniseries and 2004 TV series. The miniseries and first two seasons of ''Battlestar Galactica'' are retold with more emphasis on the Cylon perspective and their plan to wipe out the human race. The story follows two versions of the Cylon known as Cavil, one of whom admits they may have made a mistake, with the story being told in flashback. The "Final Five" Cylons are featured prominently. The film premiered exclusively on DVD, Blu-ray Disc and digital download on October 27, 2009. It premiered on January 10, 2010 on Syfy, on April 2, 2010 on Sky Premiere in the United Kingdom, and on August 6, 2011 on Space in Canada. Jane Espenson
Jane Espenson (born July 14, 1964) is an American television writer and producer. Espenson has worked on both situation comedies and serial dramas. She had a five-year stint as a writer and producer on '' Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' and shared a Hugo Award with Drew Goddard for her writing on the episode "Conversations with Dead People". After her work on ''Buffy'', she wrote and produced episodes of ''The O.C.'' and ''Gilmore Girls'' among other series. From 2006 to 2010, Espenson worked on '' Battlestar Galactica'' and many of its supplementary works. ''Battlestar Galactica'' (''BSG'') is an American military science fiction television series, and part of the ''Battlestar Galactica'' franchise. The show was developed by Ronald D. Moore and executive produced by Moore and David Eick as a re-imagining of the 1978 ''Battlestar Galactica'' television series created by Glen A. Larson. Gaius Baltar
Dr. Gaius Baltar is a fictional character in the TV series '' Battlestar Galactica'' played by James Callis, a reimagining of Count Baltar from the 1978 '' Battlestar Galactica'' series. He is one of the show's primary characters. Personality Gaius Baltar regularly uses a well-developed acting talent to spin yarns on virtually any subject when he feels the need. He possesses a dry, cynical sense of humour but is prone to bouts of neurosis. Ellen Tigh
Ellen Tigh is a fictional character from the re-imagined '' Battlestar Galactica'' series. She is played by the actress Kate Vernon. Overview Ellen Tigh is the wife of Colonel Saul Tigh. At the beginning of the series, he believes she has been killed during the Cylon attack of the Colonies while he was on Galactica. In the original miniseries, a picture of her (portrayed by the wife of series producer David Eick rather than Kate Vernon) is seen being burned by Saul, but apart from this, she does not appear until midway through the first season in the episode " Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down".
