''The Pilgrim'' is the second studio album by Australian blues singer-guitarist, Owen Campbell. It was released locally on 7 June 2013 via MGM Distribution and in the United States on Reckless Grace Music on 18 June 2013. It peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Hitseekers Albums chart. Background Owen Campbell was a finalist in the sixth season of the reality TV quest, ''Australia's Got Talent'', broadcast from April to July 2012. He followed with his second studio album, ''The Pilgrim'' (7 June 2013), which was recorded in Brunswick with Mark Opitz producing. Owen Campbell (musician)
Owen Campbell (born 29 March 1983) is an Australian blues singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was a finalist in the sixth series of the TV show ''Australia's Got Talent''. Owen was given his first guitar by his parents when he was nine years old. Owen spent most of his twenties traveling and busking around the world earning just enough performing to hop to the next city. It was his appearances on top rated Australian TV show ''Australia's Got Talent'' that properly launched his music career. Although he did not win the competition itself, he was a popular contestant. Mark Opitz
Mark Opitz (born 1952) is an Australian record producer and audio engineer. He started his career with Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in 1971. He has produced AC/DC, the Angels, Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, Divinyls and INXS. He has won the ARIA Award for Producer of the Year in 1987 and 1988. He had previously won Best Australian Producer at the ''Countdown'' Awards for his work in 1980, 1982, 1985 and 1986. ''Australia's Got Talent'' is an Australian reality television talent show. The show is based on the ''Got Talent'' series format that originated in the United Kingdom with Simon Cowell. The first six seasons aired on the Seven Network, from 2007 to 2012. In the first season the judges were Tom Burlinson, Red Symons and Dannii Minogue. The first season aired at 6:30pm on Sunday nights. After a successful run, the series was given a vote of confidence as Seven moved the show to a more competitive Tuesday night timeslot. The second season aired from 29 April 2008. Burlinson and Symons did not return for season four and were replaced by Kyle Sandilands and Brian McFadden. Paul Cashmere is an Australian entrepreneur, broadcaster, music journalist and media executive. In 1995 he founded the digital music CD-ROM magazine, ''Undercover'', with Australian photographer and domestic partner, Ros O'Gorman (1960–2018). Jeff Lang (born 9 November 1969) is an Australian guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and music producer.
