A pilgrim (from the Latin ''peregrinus'') is a traveler (literally one who has come from afar) who is on Pilgrimage, a journey to a holy place. Typically, this is a physical journey (often on foot) to some place of special significance to the adherent of a particular religious belief system. In the spiritual literature of Christianity, the concept of pilgrim and pilgrimage may refer to the experience of life in World (theology), the world (considered as a period of exile) or to the inner path of the spiritual aspirant from a state of wretchedness to a state of beatitude. Christoph Irniger
Christoph Irniger (born October 30, 1979) is a Swiss jazz saxophonist, bandleader and composer. Education Christoph Irniger studied at Zurich University of the Arts Music Pedagogy and at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts Performance Jazz with Christoph Grab and Nat Su between 2000 and 2006. In the following years he stayed regularly in Berlin and New York taking lessons with Dave Liebman, Mark Turner and Ari Hoenig. Career Beside his own Trio and his band Pilgrim, which was selected for the three-years-programm high priority jazz promotion of Pro Helvetia during 2015 - 2017, Irniger was part of several other projects. The Mountain (Steve Earle Album)
''The Mountain'' is the eighth studio album by Steve Earle, backed by the Del McCoury Band, and released in 1999 (see 1999 in music). The album was a significant departure from Earle's previous work, being the first wholly bluegrass album he had written. Earle made the album as a tribute to the founder of bluegrass music, Bill Monroe, who had died in 1996. The album was nominated for a 2000 Grammy Award in the "Best Bluegrass Album" category (Earle's seventh Grammy nomination). Two tracks from the album were released as singles in the UK: "Dixieland" (distributed to radio only) and "The Mountain" (a commercial release). Emmylou Harris performed the song "Pilgrim" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on July 10, 2017. ''Bish Bosch'' is the fourteenth and final solo studio album by American singer Scott Walker. It was released on 3 December 2012 on 4AD. Walker described it as the final installment in a trilogy that also includes ''Tilt'' (1995) and ''The Drift'' (2006). At seventy-three minutes, ''Bish Bosch'' is Walker's longest studio album, and contains his longest song, the twenty-one minute, forty-one second "SDSS1416+13B (Zercon, A Flagpole Sitter)". ''Sweet Freedom'' is the sixth studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released on 3 September 1973 by Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros. Records in the US. The original vinyl release was a gatefold, reproducing the lyrics within. There was also a central page with a photograph of each band member. It was the first Uriah Heep album to be released by Warner Bros. in the U.S. ''Sweet Freedom'' reached No. 33 in the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart. It was certified gold by the RIAA on 5 March 1974. AllMusic's retrospective review noted that Heep "began to explore new styles to flesh out their combination of prog complexity and heavy metal muscle." Larry Wayne Gatlin (born May 2, 1948) is an American country and Southern gospel singer and songwriter. As part of a trio with his younger brothers Steve and Rudy, he achieved considerable success within the country music genre, performing on 33 top-40 singles (combining his solo recordings and those with his brothers). Joey Molland
Joseph Charles Molland (born 21 June 1947, Edge Hill, Liverpool) is an English songwriter and rock guitarist whose recording career spans five decades. He is best known as a member of Badfinger, the most successful of the acts he performed with. Molland is the last surviving member from the band's classic line-up. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Career Originally a member of several rock groups around Liverpool, such as The Assassins and The Profiles, Molland began his recording career in 1965 when he joined The Masterminds. Barry McGuire
Barry McGuire (born October 15, 1935) is an American singer-songwriter primarily known for his 1965 hit " Eve of Destruction". Later he would pioneer as a singer and songwriter of Contemporary Christian music. Early life McGuire was born in Oklahoma City and his family moved to California when he was two years old. After working as a commercial fisherman, and then going on to become a journeyman pipe fitter, McGuire got a job singing in a bar. In 1961, he released his first single called "The Tree", which was not a hit. He formed a duo with Barry Kane (d. 2013) called Barry & Barry. They performed original folk songs at The Ice House, a small folk club in Pasadena, California before moving on to The Troubadour in Hollywood in the spring of 1962. It was released locally on 7 June 2013 via MGM Distribution and in the United States on Reckless Grace Music on 18 June 2013. It peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Hitseekers Albums chart. Background Owen Campbell was a finalist in the sixth season of the reality TV quest, ''Australia's Got Talent'', broadcast from April to July 2012.
