''The Persistence of Memory'' is the fourth studio album by the rock band Emigrate. It was released on November 12, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment. Recording sessions took place at Studio Engine 55 in Berlin, at Funkhaus-Studio in Berlin-Treptow-Köpenick, and at Sky Van Hoff Studios. Production was handled by Richard Kruspe, Sky Van Hoff and Olsen Involtini. It features a guest appearance from Till Lindemann. The album debuted at number 39 on the Offizielle Deutsche Charts. Music videos were released for "Freeze My Mind" and "You Can't Run Away", both directed by Anuk Rohde, and "I'm Still Alive", directed by David Gesslbauer. Emigrate (band)
Emigrate is an industrial metal band based in New York City led by Richard Kruspe, the lead guitarist of Rammstein. History Kruspe started the band in 2005, writing songs with ex-wife Caron Bernstein, when Rammstein decided to take time off from touring and recording. Kruspe has previously stated that the idea for Emigrate came to him around Rammstein's '' Mutter'' era. On September 5, 2006, members of the Rammstein.de newsletter were sent an invitation to the Emigrate newsletter and given the chance to download the song "Wake Up", a sneak peek of the upcoming album. Three song samples were also posted on Emigrate's website: "My World", "Babe", and "Temptation". Fans voted "Babe" as being their favorite, and newsletter recipients were allowed to download "Babe" in its entirety starting November 29, 2006. Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a classical-style Metallica tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. Mark James (born Francis Rodney Zambon; November 29, 1940) is an American songwriter who wrote hits for singers B.J. Thomas, Brenda Lee, and Elvis Presley, including Presley's US number one hit single, "Suspicious Minds." Early life Mark James was born and raised an Italian-American in Houston, Texas, on November 29, 1940. James befriended B.J. Thomas while both were still young. John (“Johnny”) Lee Christopher Jr. (born 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American singer, guitarist, session musician and songwriter. Music career Christopher's singles included "(She's A) Girl Of Many Colors / The Teacher And The Pet" (1969) and "Love Stuff" (1972). As a songwriter, he wrote "Mama Liked the Roses" for Elvis Presley and co-wrote " Always on My Mind" with Mark James and Wayne Carson, a song first released by Gwen McCrae in 1972. Brenda Lee and Elvis Presley also recorded and released the song in 1972. The song has been covered by several well-known artists including John Wesley Ryles and the Pet Shop Boys. Caron Bernstein (born 16 August 1970) is a South African model, actress and singer. Biography Caron Bernstein was born in Johannesburg. She majored in painting while studying at the School of the Arts in Johannesburg. At the age of fourteen, she was awarded a modeling contract with Ford Models.
