Athene Seyler, CBE (31 May 188912 September 1990) was an English actress. Early life She was born in Hackney, London; her German-born grandparents moved to the United Kingdom, where her grandfather Philip Seyler was a merchant in London. Athene Seyler was educated at Coombe Hill School in Surrey, a progressive co-educational school which disliked petitionary prayer and whose advanced biology classes studied Darwin's ''On the Origin of Species''. Frederick Lloyd (15 January 1880 – 24 November 1949) was a British film and stage actor. His most notable appearances include Doctor Watson in the 1932 film ''The Hound of the Baskervilles'' and Mr. Grimwig in David Lean's 1948 literature adaption ''Oliver Twist'' . Biography He was born Frederick William Lloyd in London on 15 January 1880. His parents were the Reverend Frederick Charles Lloyd and his wife Mary Florence, née Cox. Lloyd was married to theatre actress Auriol Lee from 1911 to 1922. He was later married to actress Yvette Plancon from 1925 to 1929. He died on 24 November 1949 at Hove, Sussex, England. Philippine Amann (10 March 1905 – 2 or 3 August 1990), known professionally as Betty Amann, was a German-American film actress. Born to American parents in Germany, she began her acting career in the United States with the film ''The Kick-Off'' (1926). She is perhaps best known for her role in ''Asphalt'' (1929). Early years Philippine Amann was born in 1905 (some sources say 1906 or 1907) in Pirmasens to a Swiss-German Lutheran family. She has also been referred to as Jewish. Raised in America, Amann studied painting at the National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York; she had been an intent lover of art and painting since childhood. Milton Rosmer (4 November 1881 – 7 December 1971) was a British actor An actor or actress is a person who portrays a character in a performance. The actor performs "in the flesh" in the traditional medium of the theatre or in modern media such as film, radio, and television. He made his screen debut in ''The Mystery of a Hansom Cab'' (1915) and continued to act in theatre, film and television until 1956. In 1926 he directed his first film ''The Woman Juror'' and went on to direct another 16 films between 1926 and 1938. He began his acting career as a stage actor and appeared as Francis Tresham in "The Breed of the Treshams" (1903) opposite John Martin-Harvey. Milton Rosmer died in Chesham, Buckinghamshire in 1971.
