The Origin Of Love (song)
''Hedwig and the Angry Inch'' is a 1998 musical about a fictional rock and roll band of the same name fronted by an East German transgender woman, with a book by John Cameron Mitchell (who also played the title role in the original production and film), and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask. The musical has gathered a devoted cult following, and was adapted into the 2001 American musical film of the same name directed by Mitchell. The cast recording was released in 1999 on Atlantic Records, featuring the original cast (John Cameron Mitchell, Stephen Trask, Miriam Shor, Scott Bilbrey, David McKinley, and Chris ) performing all the tracks written for the stage musical. Stephen Trask
Stephen Trask (born Stephen R. Schwartz; born August 29, 1966) is an American musician and composer who graduated from Wesleyan University. He was the music director and house band member at the New York City club Squeezebox, where they performed with stars such as Debbie Harry, Lene Lovich and Joey Ramone. Trask composed the music and lyrics for the stage musical '' Hedwig and the Angry Inch'' (also a 2001 film), about a struggling rock star named Hedwig. Trask's real-life band Cheater performed as Hedwig's band "The Angry Inch". He received an Obie Award for the play and a Grammy Award nomination for the movie. In 2014, the show saw its first Broadway incarnation, opening that April at the Belasco Theatre and winning the year's Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. ''Couldn't Have Said It Better'' is the eighth studio album by Meat Loaf, released in the UK on April 21, 2003. For only the third time in his career, he released an album without any songs written by Jim Steinman (not counting the bonus tracks). Meat Loaf claimed that ''Couldn't Have Said It Better'' was "the most perfect album edid since ''Bat Out of Hell''".
