Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of ''Olsen Gang'' feature films. Biography Balling started working for the largest and oldest Danish film production company, Nordisk Films Kompagni, in 1946. He later became the boss of the company. Bertel Lauring (11 January 1928 – 28 January 2000) was a Danish film actor. He appeared in 36 films between 1953 and 1981. He was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark and died in Denmark. After being a student at Odense Theatre and then having the opportunity to play small roles on several Copenhagen stages, he entered the Royal Theatre's student school in 1952. In the following years he appeared mostly in the capital's theatres, but also spent a number of years at the Aarhus Theatre. Bertel Lauring had several roles in radio and television and managed to record a number of films. He is buried in Bispebjerg Cemetery. Poul Reichhardt
Poul David Reichhardt (2 February 1913 – 31 October 1985) was a Danish actor, well known for his roles in Danish 1940s/1950s comedies. Later on, he also played more serious and varied roles; he has also starred in '' Huset på Christianshavn'', ''Matador'' and as various minor characters in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. Ove Verner Hansen (20 July 1932 – 20 February 2016) was a Danish opera singer and actor. He played the character, "Bøffen" (or "Biffen" in Norwegian, literally meaning "the steak" in both languages) in 16 of the ''Olsen-banden''-movies (11 danish and 5 norwegian). He played a tall, large, and slow-moving henchman, often seen lifting Egon Olsen up over his head, carrying him under one arm, and trying to kill him.
