The No-No's were an indie pop band based in Portland, Oregon. The band formed in 1995 and released several albums and EPs into the early 2000s. Indie Pop
Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving fanzine, Independent record label, label, and club and gig circuit. Compared to its counterpart, indie rock, the genre is more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst-free. In later years, the definition of ''indie pop'' has bifurcated to also mean bands from unrelated DIY scenes/movements with pop leanings. Subgenres include chamber pop and twee pop. Mike Clark (indie Rock Musician)
Mike Clark is an American musician and restaurateur based in Portland, Oregon. He currently plays keyboards and guitar for Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. Musical career Clark has performed with a number of bands in the Portland area. During the late 1990s and early 2000s (decade) he played drums with the Surf Maggots, guitar with the Underpants Machine and the No-No's, and keyboards with the Maroons. Since 2001, he has recorded and toured extensively with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. He is currently the touring bass player for The Corin Tucker Band and can be seen in their video for "Riley." Ralf Youtz
Ralf Youtz (born 1972) is an American musician. Youtz was the original drummer in the Boise, Idaho-based indie rock band Built to Spill. He appeared on their 1993 debut album, '' Ultimate Alternative Wavers''. Youtz was replaced by Andy Capps after the album's release, although he would work with Martsch again with The Halo Benders. Youtz also had short stints with the bands Sone and The Feelings. Youtz played guitar and sang in Ape Shape, which opened for Built to Spill on several dates of their 2005 tour. He also played bass in The No-No's. His sister, Karena Youtz is married to Built to Spill frontman Doug Martsch. In 2019, Youtz joined the Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers as a snare drummer.
