The News (film)
''The News'' is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language mystery thriller film written by Jagadish and directed by Shaji Kailas and produced by G.R.Sureshkumar, starring Suresh Gopi, Ranjini, Lizy and Babu Antony. This is the debut release of Shaji Kailas. The film was a landmark in Suresh Gopi's career and was one of his first commercially successful films as a solo hero. Plot After getting turned down in his application to become an Inspector, Rishi Menon starts his own detective agency, where he is handed an assignment to investigate the murder of a woman named Jolly and the disappearance of a college student named Roy. Arun, Roy and Albert are Megha’s juniors in college and known to Rishi since Rishi and Megha are in a relationship and soon to be engaged. Shaji Kailas
Shaji Kailas (born 8 February 1965) is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in Malayalam cinema. Shaji got a breakthrough with the comedy film ''Dr. Pasupathy'' (1990). Madhu (actor)
Madhavan Nair, commonly known by his stage name Madhu, is an Indian actor, director, producer, former college lecturer and former film studio owner, who works in Malayalam cinema and a certain number of Hindi and Tamil films. He was a prominent lead actor during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s and has acted in more than 400 films. Madhu has also directed 12 films, produced 15 films and at one time owned the Uma Film Studio. Sreenath
Sreenath (26 August 1956 – 23 April 2010) was an Indian film and television actor. He has acted in many Malayalam films, including ''Shalini Ente Koottukari'', ''Ithu Njangalude Katha'', ''Oru CBI Diary Kurippu'', and '' Kireedam''. Sreenath was a Shiv Sena candidate from the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Vijayaraghavan (born 20 December 1951) is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He is popular for his character roles. He is the son of popular drama and cinema artist N. N. Janardhanan Nair (born 5 May 1946) is an Indian actor, producer and a former Indian Airforce personnel who predominantly acts in Malayalam films.
