''The New Mutants'' is a 2020 American superhero film, superhero horror film based on the Marvel Comics team New Mutants, of the same name. It is a spin-off film in the X-Men (film series), ''X-Men'' film series and the thirteenth and final installment overall before the whole series was moved to Marvel Entertainment, Marvel. The film was directed by Josh Boone (director), Josh Boone from a screenplay he wrote with Knate Lee, and it stars Blu Hunt, Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, and Alice Braga. In the film, a group of young Mutant (Marvel Comics), mutants held in a secret facility fight to save themselves. Dr. Cecilia Reyes is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Medfield State Hospital, originally the Medfield Insane Asylum, is a historic former psychiatric hospital complex at 45 Hospital Road in Medfield, Massachusetts, United States. The asylum was established in 1892 as the state's first facility for dealing with chronic mental patients. The college-like campus was designed by William Pitt Wentworth and developed between 1896 and 1914.
