The New Archie And Sabrina Hour
''The New Archie and Sabrina Hour'' (advertised as ''The Archie-Sabrina Show'') is the seventh and final animated series featuring Archie Comics characters under the Filmation banner. The series premiered on NBC in September 1977, rebroadcasting segments from ''The Archie Show'', as well as brand-new segments featuring ''Sabrina the Teenage Witch''. The show's format featured three segments per episode: a 15-minute one, a 30-minute one, and another 15-minute one—with the segments separated by songs (two songs per episode) and the first segment invariably featuring and emphasizing Sabrina. Filmation added two new characters into the show: a Latino teenager named Carlos and a robot that Dilton Doiley got from a space center and rebuilt named Q. Jim Ryan (writer)
James Francis Ryan (April 21, 1936 – August 31, 2022) was an American screenwriter in the DePatie–Freleng Enterprises, also the Filmation studios and Hanna–Barbera. As Jim Ryan he wrote the screen story from the 1987 ITC Entertainment Group film ''The Brave Little Toaster''. Career Ryan began his career at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, where he penned episodes of ''The Inspector'' and scripted the ''Pink Panther'' short '' Psychedelic Pink''. At Filmation, he wrote for several cartoons alongside writing partner Bill Danch, including '' Mission: Magic!'' (starring Rick Springfield), '' Shazam!'', one of Ryan's few forays into live action, and '' Fabulous Funnies''. Ryan and Danch were head writers of ''The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty''. Dilton Donald Doiley is a fictional character in the Archie Comics universe, where he is considered the smartest teenager in Riverdale High School. ''Life with Archie'' is a comic book published by Archie comics from 1958 to 1991. It featured Archie Andrews in adventure stories that were more dramatic than the standard Archie tales.
