The New Age Of DC Heroes
The New Age of DC Heroes (originally titled as Dark Matter) is a comic book line published by DC Comics from 2018 to 2020. The titles – ''Damage'', ''The Silencer'', ''Sideways'', ''The Terrifics'', ''The Curse of Brimstone'', ''The Immortal Men'', ''New Challengers'', and ''The Unexpected'' – were set in the DC Universe following the events of ''Dark Nights: Metal''. The line was considered a commercial failure. Publication history In 2016, the Dark Matter line was announced alongside The Sandman Universe, with both comic lines to be set in the DC Universe after ''Dark Nights: Metal'', featuring new characters alongside re-imagined versions of old ones from DC Comics. A superhero or superheroine is a stock character that typically possesses ''superpowers'', abilities beyond those of ordinary people, and fits the role of the hero, typically using his or her powers to help the world become a better place, or dedicating themselves to protecting the public and fighting crime. Mister Terrific (comics)
Mister Terrific is the name of two superheroes in the DC Comics Universe. Versions Terry Sloane The Golden Age's Mister Terrific was Terry Sloane, a self-made millionaire whose photographic memory, Olympic-level athletic skills, and mastery of the martial arts made him a Renaissance man. The character first appeared in ''Sensation Comics'' #1 (January 1942). After graduating college at age 13, he eventually became a renowned business leader in the community. Having accomplished all his goals, he felt there were no challenges left for him to pursue, leading him towards suicidal tendencies. However, upon seeing a young woman jump from a bridge, Sloane reacted quickly and saved the woman, Wanda Wilson. Steve Orlando is an American comic book writer, known for his work for DC Comics writing characters such as Batman, Martian Manhunter, and Wonder Woman, and two series starring Midnighter, which were nominated for a GLAAD Media Award. Challengers Of The Unknown
The Challengers of the Unknown is a fictional group of adventurers appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. The quartet of adventurers explored paranormal occurrences while facing several fantastic menaces. The characters' provenance is uncertain. Various sources credit the group as the sole creation of artist and storyteller Jack Kirby, a co-creation with writer Dave Wood or a co-creation with Kirby's former partner Joe Simon. Following the end of the ''Challengers'' comic, DC has revived the characters in different incarnations over the years. Andrew Kubert (; born February 27, 1962) is an American comics artist, letterer and writer. He is the son of Joe Kubert and brother of Adam Kubert, both of whom are also artists, and the uncle of comics editor Katie Kubert. Immortal Man, also known as Klarn Arg, is a superhero in the DC Comics Universe. He first appeared in ''Strange Adventures'' #177 (June 1965). Brimstone is an alias used by several fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Fictional character biographies Artificial construct Brimstone is a supervillain and artificial construct in the DC Universe, first seen in ''Legends'' #1 (Nov 1986). Within the context of the stories, Brimstone is created by Darkseid as a part of his plot to turn the population of Earth against their superheroes. Philip Tan (born 1978) is a comic book writer/artist best known for his work on ''Spawn'', ''Uncanny X-Men'' and ''Iron Man''.
