The Nephew
''The Nephew'' is a 1998 film directed by Eugene Brady, which tells the story of a young biracial American man, Chad Egan-Washington (played by Hill Harper). Plot Following the death of his father, and later his mother, a long time Irish immigrant to the United States, the teenage and biracial Chad travels from his home in New York to a small Irish island where his mother was brought up, to live with his uncle, a smalltime farmer. In addition to facing initial prejudices, Chad finds himself the center of a grievance his uncle Tony (Donal McCann) holds against local bar owner Joe Brady ( Pierce Brosnan), for his illicit relationship with Chad's mother, which Tony opposed, before she left twenty years before. Further complications ensue when Chad develops a relationship with Brady's daughter Aislinn ( Aislin McGuckin). Eugene Brady
Eugene R. Brady (1928-2011) was a United States Marine Corps officer and naval aviator who was the recipient of the Navy Cross and a later Silver Star for his heroic actions during two separate medevac missions taking wounded Marines from a landing zone while under fire during the Vietnam War. At the time of these awards, he was serving as the commanding officer of HMM-364, The Purple Foxes. He began his career as a fixed wing pilot and saw service in the Korean War with VMF-311. He did not transition to flying helicopters until 1968. During the course of his career he commanded four different squadrons, Marine Corps Air Station Tustin and Marine Aircraft Group 16. A dolmen () or portal tomb is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, usually consisting of two or more upright megaliths supporting a large flat horizontal capstone or "table". Wicklow Head
Wicklow Head () is a headland near the southeast edge of the town of Wicklow in County Wicklow, approximately from the centre of the town. Geographically, it is the easternmost point on the mainland of the Republic of Ireland. Lighthouses The original Wicklow Head Lighthouse was one of two lighthouses built on the headland. The original lighthouse actually consisted of two structures to differentiate between Hook Head Lighthouse to the South in Wexford and Baily Lighthouse on Howth Head to the North in Dublin. The rear tower was built as an eight-sided lantern in 1781 powered by 20 tallow candles reflected against a mirror. On 10 October 1836, the tower was struck by lightning, resulting in the destruction of its interior. Wicklow ( ; ga, Cill Mhantáin , meaning 'church of the toothless one'; non, Víkingaló) is the county town of County Wicklow in Ireland. It is located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island. Roundwood, historically known as Tóchar ( ga, an Tóchar , meaning 'the causeway'), is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. It was listed as having a population of 948 in the 2016 census. Geography Roundwood is located where the R755 road joins the R764 and R765. The R755 is part of the main route from Dublin to Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains. Christopher Terry Mosher, (born 11 November 1942) is a Canadian political cartoonist for the ''Montreal Gazette''. He draws under the name Aislin, a rendition of the name of his eldest daughter Aislinn (without the second 'n').
