''Sherlock Holmes'' is the overall title given to the series of Sherlock Holmes adaptations produced by the British television company ITV Granada, Granada Television between 1984 and 1994. David Burke (born 25 May 1934) is an English actor, known for playing Dr. John Watson in the initial series of Granada Television's 1980s ''The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'', which starred Jeremy Brett in the title role.
