The Named (band)
The Named is an industrial metal project led by Rabbit Junk frontman JP Anderson, formed in 2009. History Originally intended as a revival of turn-of-the-century digital hardcore group The Shizit, Anderson was forced to change the name of the project after legal threats from former The Shizit bandmate Brian Shrader. The Named released their self-titled album (originally released as ''The Shizit'') in 2009 under D-Trash. In 2015, after 6 years of inactivity, Glitch Mode Recordings re-mastered and re-issued ''The Named'' with a brand new track, titled "Discipline", and a slightly altered track order. Sputnikmusic

The Shizit
The Shizit was a digital hardcore act from Seattle, Washington, United States, USA, initially formed by J.P. Anderson and Brian Shrader in early 1999. The music was an intense mix of Gabber music, gabber, breakbeat, drum and bass, hardcore techno, Hardcore punk, hardcore and heavy metal music, heavy metal guitars, amped up with aggressive political lyrics. The band released two CDs on mp3.com, and as it was spread quickly among underground sources, the band steadily built up their following. In 2001, they began work on their third album, ''Soundtrack for the Revolution''; The album was finally released at E115 Records, a Canada, Canadian indie label later that year, and tracks from it were released on Alec Empire's "Don't Fuck With US" compilation.
