The Naked Hours
''The Naked Hours'' ( it, Le ore nude) is a 1964 Italian drama film directed by Marco Vicario and starring Keir Dullea and Rossana Podestà. It is based on the novel ''Appuntamento al mare'' by Alberto Moravia. Plot this sex-charged character study, a woman’s husband persuades her to share in his predilection for group sex. Later, she meets a student and has a one-day affair with him. Marco Vicario
Marco Vicario (20 September 1925 – 10 September 2020) was an Italian film actor, screenwriter, film producer and director. He appeared in 23 films between 1950 and 1958. He also wrote for 13 films, produced 12 and directed a further 11. He was born in Rome, Italy in September 1925. Vicario died in September 2020 at the age of 94. Odoardo Spadaro
Odoardo Eugenio Giano Spadaro (16 January 1893 - 26 June 1965) was an Italian singer-songwriter and actor. Early life Spadaro was born in the quartiere of Santo Spirito in Florence, to Gustavo Spadaro and Mary Marchesini. Career He debuted on stage at seventeen years old and, taking the road into variety shows as a chansonnier, a fantasist and impersonator, he became an international celebrity when he replaced Maurice Chevalier at the Folies-Bergère in Paris. In 1927 he was protagonist alongside Viviane Romance and Jean Gabin of a very successful variety show at the Moulin Rouge. Regarded as the first great Italian singer-songwriter, Spadaro also wrote many successful songs dedicated to his home city in the 1930s and 40s including lyrics and music.; the best known of these being probably "Porta un bacione a Firenze" (Bring a Kiss to Florence). Antonio "Tonino" Guerra (16 March 1920 – 21 March 2012) was an Italian poet, writer and screenwriter who collaborated with some of the most prominent film directors in the world. Life and work Guerra was born in Santarcangelo di Romagna. According to his obituary in ''The Guardian'', Guerra first started writing poetry when interned in a prison camp in Germany, after being rounded up at the age of 22 with other antifascists from Santarcangelo. At 30 he moved to Rome and worked as a schoolteacher. During this time he met Elio Petri, the future director of ''Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion'' (1970), who worked as assistant to Giuseppe De Santis. Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu (born 15 October 1930) is a French actor. He has appeared in over 150 films since 1960, and has worked extensively in Italian cinema, as well as in his native country. He was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actor for his debut performance in Jacques Becker’s '' The Hole'' (1960), and for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for playing the titular role in the Italian miniseries ''The Life of Leonardo da Vinci'' (1971).
