Orchid (heavy Metal Band)
Orchid is an American doom metal band founded in San Francisco, California, United States, in 2007. The band consists of Theo Mindell (vocals, synthesizer, percussion), Mark Thomas Baker (guitar), Keith Nickel (bass guitar) and Tommy Rickard (drums). They are named after the Black Sabbath song of the same name. History Orchid formed in 2007 with a lineup of Mindell, Baker, Nickel and drummer Carter Kennedy. The group released their first EP, ''Through the Devil's Doorway'', in 2009. It was followed by their debut studio album, ''Capricorn'', released in 2011. Both of those initial releases on the Church Within label were later reissued together on the Nuclear Blast compilation album '' The Zodiac Sessions'' in 2013. It compiles remastered versions of both releases on their first record label, the Church Within: their first studio album, ''Capricorn'', and their debut EP, ''Through the Devil's Doorway''. The album was released on 18 November 2013 as a limited edition digipak Optical disc packaging is the packaging that accompanies CDs, DVDs, and other formats of optical discs. MetalSucks is a heavy metal music-themed news website. The site features reviews, interviews, information on latest metal releases and blog-like posts from the writers, most notably Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg. Blues Pills are a Swedish rock band, formed in Örebro in 2011. The band has released three studio albums, two EPs, three live albums and five singles since its formation. Their latest studio album, ''Holy Moly!'', was released in August 2020 through Nuclear Blast. History Formation and EPs (2011–2013) In 2011, step-brothers Zack Anderson (bass) and Cory Berry (drums), formerly of Radio Moscow, were in Iowa and met singer Elin Larsson, who was staying in California. Together they recorded two demo tracks and published them on YouTube, after which label "Crusher Records" offered them a deal. Scorpion Child is an American rock band from Austin, Texas, active since 2006. They released two albums. History Scorpion Child was formed in 2006 as an acoustic duo, consisting of Aryn Jonathan Black and Asa Savage. The bands name came from a song by the English rock / dark wave band The Cult.
