Katharina Thalbach (; actually ''Katharina Joachim genannt Thalbach''; born 19 January 1954) is a German actress and stage director. She played theatre at the Berliner Ensemble and at the Volksbühne Berlin, and was actress in the film ''The Tin Drum''. She worked as a theatre and opera director. Birol Ünel
Birol Ünel (18 August 1961 – 3 September 2020) was a Turkish-German actor who played in German and Turkish films, television, and theatrical productions. He was perhaps best known for his role as the alcoholic Cahit Tomruk in Fatih Akin's 2004 drama film '' Head-On'', for which he received the German film prize for Best Actor. Life and career Ünel was born in Silifke, Mersin, in southern Turkey. In 1968, his family moved to Brinkum near Bremen in Germany. He studied acting at the Musikhochschule Hannover. Detlev Buck (; born 1 December 1962 in Bad Segeberg) is a German film director, actor, producer and screenwriter. Life and work From his first short film at the age of 21 in 1982, ', he has remained one of the most important filmmakers working in Germany. Silly (band)
Silly is a German rock band. Founded in East Germany in 1977, Silly was one of the country's most popular music acts, and was well known for its charismatic lead singer Tamara Danz. Her death in 1996 ended the band's recording career after 18 years. In 2005 the surviving members began to perform as Silly again, first with several guest singers, before choosing actress Anna Loos to replace Danz. The first album with the new line-up, ''Alles Rot'', became the band's most successful to date, reaching number 3 on the German charts in 2010. Andreas M. Schmidt (23 November 1963 – 28 September 2017) was a German screen actor and theatre director. During his thirty-year career, he appeared in over 130 film and television productions. Biography Born in Heggen, Finnentrop, Schmidt grew up in the Märkisches Viertel in West Berlin. He was a singer and guitarist in the rock band Lillies große Liebe in the 1980s. His first acting role was in the 1987 film '. Schmidt received three nominations at the Deutscher Filmpreis, winning once in 2009.
