The Mirage-Treasure Island Tram
The Mirage-Treasure Island Tram is a people mover connecting the adjacent Las Vegas Strip casinos The Mirage and Treasure Island. The tram takes about 90 seconds to go from one end to the other, and is free to ride. The tram opened in 1993 along with the opening of the Treasure Island casino. At the time both Treasure Island and The Mirage were owned by Mirage Resorts. Route Caesars Palace would not permit the tram to cross its property. The tram runs from the front of the Mirage to the rear of Treasure Island. Technical The tram consists of a single elevated track, with a single 2-car train running back and forth between the two stations. It uses rubber tyres and is cable hauled. It operates as a fully automated guideway system. The train has a total capacity of 120 passengers. One-way capacity is 1,800 passengers/hour. Mandalay Bay Tram
The Mandalay Bay Tram is a people mover that opened on April 9, 1999 on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was constructed to connect three gaming hotels belonging to the MGM Mirage Group. The line carries passengers from the major Tropicana – Las Vegas Boulevard intersection, via the Excalibur Hotel and Casino and Luxor Hotel to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at the southern end. The dual-track system is cable driven and free for the public to use. The eastern track has intermediate station stops. The western track only has stops at either end of the line – Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. If only one train is running, it is the eastern track and it runs express to Mandalay Bay going south, but makes all stops returning north. Aria Express
Aria Express (formerly and also known as the CityCenter Tram) is a people mover located on the Las Vegas Strip. The system's 3 stations connect the Las Vegas casinos Park MGM and Bellagio with CityCenter Las Vegas. The Park MGM station additionally serves the Aria Resort and Casino. The CityCenter station is located above The Shops at Crystals, and also serves other CityCenter properties such as Aria and Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. The northern Bellagio station also serves the Vdara. All of the properties served by the Aria Express are operated or were developed by MGM Resorts International. The Las Vegas Monorail is a automated monorail mass transit system located adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, in Clark County, Nevada, United States. It connects several large casinos in the unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester, and does not enter the City of Las Vegas. Built at a cost of $650 million, it was privately owned and operated by the ''Las Vegas Monorail Company'' until their 2020 bankruptcy when it was sold to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, a local government agency. In 2013, total annual ridership was roughly 4.2 million, down from a pre-Great Recession peak of 7.9 million in 2007. The Deuce (transit Bus Service)
The Deuce is a transit bus service serving the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Operated by RTC Transit, it began service on October 27, 2005. Originally ''The Deuce'' meant four things: (1) buses on the route were double decked; (2) the one-way fare was $2; (3) the route served the two primary gaming areas, the Strip and Downtown; and (4) the first batch of vehicles bought primarily for the service were assigned fleet numbers starting with "2". Although the double decker buses also serve other local routes and the price is no longer $2, the name ''The Deuce on the Strip'' is used by RTC to emphasize that the route refers to just the tourist route. A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a type of small scale automated guideway transit system. The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks. The term was originally applied to three different systems, developed roughly at the same time. Mirage Resorts (formerly Golden Nugget Companies) was an American company that owned and operated hotel-casinos. It was acquired by MGM Grand, Inc. in 2000, forming MGM Mirage (now MGM Resorts International). History Golden Nugget Companies Inc. was formed by Steve Wynn in 1973. The company was created after Wynn acquired majority control of the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada.
