Robert Lord (May 1, 1900 – April 5, 1976) was an American screenwriter and film producer. He wrote for more than 70 films between 1925 and 1940. He won an Academy Award in 6th Academy Awards nominees and winners, 1933 in the category Academy Award for Best Story, Best Writing, Original Story for the film ''One Way Passage''. Philo McCullough (June 16, 1893 – June 5, 1981) was an American actor. He appeared in more than 250 films between 1914 and 1969. He was born in San Bernardino, California, and died in Burbank, California. McCullough's film debut came in 1912 with the Selig Company. Tom Dugan (1 January 1889 – 7 March 1955) was an Irish-American film actor. He appeared in more than 260 films between 1927 and 1955. He was born in Dublin, Ireland and died in Redlands, California, after injuries sustained in a road accident. Life and career At an early age, Tom Dugan's family moved to Philadelphia where he was educated at the Philadelphia High School. After leaving school, he tried three trades (shoe cutting, neck tie cutting and paper hanging) in quick succession but he had a good tenor voice, so he decided on show business. He appeared in a travelling medicine show, then a minstrel troupe before going on stage. He was a headliner for the Keith Circuit in America for several years. He also played in musical comedies in New York City and in vaudeville theatres like Earl Carroll's Vanities. He eventually became a Broadway comedian. Evelyn PeirceSometimes misspelled as Evelyn Pierce (February 5, 1907 – August 9, 1960) was an American film actress during the silent film era, and into the 1930s. Biography Peirce was born in Del Rio, Texas, and moved to Hollywood as a professional stage dancer, and was spotted by talent scouts and encouraged to pursue an acting career in the mid-1920s. Her first role was in the 1925 film '' Excuse Me'', which was uncredited. Her first credited role was that same year in ''Don't'', which starred Sally O'Neil. She was also one of thirteen girls selected as "WAMPAS Baby Stars" in 1925, which included actress June Marlowe. Following being selected by "WAMPAS" she received a minor contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer which lasted through 1931. From 1927 through 1931 Peirce starred in seven films, two of which were uncredited.
