The Master (2009 Film)
''The Master'' ( tr, Usta) is a 2009 Turkish drama film, directed by Bahadır Karataş, starring Yetkin Dikinciler as a small town car mechanic in who builds a small biplane in his backyard. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on , won a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Hasibe Eren at the 3rd Yeşilçam Awards. Production The film was shot on location in Eskişehir, Turkey. Plot Dogan, a car mechanic in a small town, is obsessed with flying. He has been building a small biplane in his back yard for years. His wife Emine does not share his affinity for aviation and feels neglected in their marriage. When Dogan's plane crashes during an aeronautics fair, she gives him an ultimatum: he can either pursue his passion for flying or live a humble life with her, solely as a car mechanic. Ayfer Tunç
Ayfer Tunç (born 1964 in Adapazarı) is a contemporary Turkish writer. She graduated from the Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences. During her university years, she wrote many articles for various literature, culture and art magazines. In 1989, she participated in the Yunus Nadi Short Story Competition organized by the daily Cumhuriyet newspaper. Her short story titled Saklı (Hidden) received the first prize. Between 1999-2004, she worked as the chief editor of Yapı Kredi Publishing House. Hasibe Özlem Eren (born 6 June 1975) is a Turkish actress. She starred in the Show TV animated series ''Sıdıka'' in 1997. Eren played the role of Makbule on the show Avrupa Yakası. Life and career Hasibe Eren graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Market Research and Advertising. Later, she graduated from the School of Letters, Department of Theater Criticism and Dramaturgy. In 2010, she graduated from Bahçeşehir University Advanced Acting Master's Program.
