Reality television is a genre of television programming that documents purportedly unscripted real-life situations, often starring unfamiliar people rather than professional actors. Opshop
Opshop is a New Zealand rock band who formed in 2002. They released their first album, '' You Are Here'' in 2004, their second album ''Second Hand Planet'' in 2007, and their third album '' Until The End of Time'', which debuted at number one on the New Zealand Album Charts, in 2010. In 2008, the band won the 2008 APRA Silver Scroll for Song of the Year for their song " One Day". Jason Kerrison, the lead member of the group appeared on The Masked Singer NZ as a Tuatara, winning the first season. Bic Runga
Briolette Kah Bic Runga (born 13 January 1976), recording as Bic Runga, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist pop artist. Her first three studio albums debuted at number one on the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Top 40 Album charts. Runga has also found success internationally in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom with her song "Sway (Bic Runga song), Sway". Early life Runga was born in Christchurch. Her mother, Sophia Tang, was a Chinese Malaysian lounge singer in Malaysia when she met Joseph Te Okoro Runga, a Māori people, Māori ex-serviceman. They moved to New Zealand to live. Drax Project
Drax Project is a New Zealand pop and R&B band that formed in Te Aro, Wellington in 2014. Recording a mix of jazz, R&B and pop music, the band came to prominence in 2017 with the single "Woke Up Late", which was certified triple platinum by RIANZ while the 2019 version featuring Hailee Steinfeld was certified triple platinum in Australia. Background Most of Drax Project's members went to school together in Porirua and began as buskers in Central Wellington in 2013, composed of Shaan Singh on saxophone and Matt Beachen on drums (the origin of the band's name is a portmanteau of 'drums' and 'sax'). Jamiroquai () are an English funk and acid jazz band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. They built on their acid jazz sound in their early releases and later drew from rock, disco, electronic and Latin music genres. Lyrically, the group has addressed social and environmental justice. Kay has remained as the only original member through several line-up changes. The band made their debut under Acid Jazz Records but subsequently found mainstream success under Sony. "Cosmic Girl" is the second single from British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai's third studio album, ''Travelling Without Moving'' (1996). The song was released in the United Kingdom on 25 November 1996 via Sony Soho Square and in the United States in 1997 via Work Group. The song achieved great chart success, peaking at 6 on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached No. 3 in Italy, No. 4 in Iceland, and No. 10 in Finland. Suzanne Noreen Cato (born 20 June 1968) is an Australian-born New Zealand children's entertainer. She is best known as the host of several New Zealand children's television programmes, most notably '' Suzy's World'' and '' You and Me''. Career Cato began her broadcasting career at the KCCFM radio station in Whangarei, before she moved to Auckland to begin her television career in 1990. Mike McRoberts
Mike McRoberts (born 1966) is a New Zealand television journalist and news anchor. Early life McRoberts was born in 1966 to a Ngāti Kahungunu father and pākehā mother. He attended Manning Intermediate and Hillmorton High School in Christchurch. He completed a journalism diploma from the New Zealand Broadcasting School at CPIT (now Ara Institute of Canterbury) in 1986. As his father was discouraged to speak Maori, Mike and his older brother also never learnt to speak the language. As such, he was criticized for his lack of fluency.
