The Masked Singer (German Season 1)
The first season of the German singing competition ''The Masked Singer'' premiered on 27 June 2019 on ProSieben. The panelists were Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Max Giesinger and Ruth Moschner. The host was Matthias Opdenhövel. On 1 August 2019, the Astronaut (singer Max Mutzke) was declared the winner and the Grashüpfer (singer Gil Ofarim) was the runner-up. Matthias Augustinus Wilhelm Georg Opdenhövel (born 25 August 1970) is a German television presenter. Biography Born in Detmold, Opdenhövel has worked as journalist and television presenter for German broadcasters ARD, Sat 1, Pro7, VIVA Germany, VOX and WDR. Together with Aleksandra Bechtel he presented ''Bitte lächeln'' between 1997 and 1998 on German broadcaster RTL 2. Susianna "Susi" Levonovna Kentikian ( hy, Սյուզի Կենտիկյան; born Syuzanna Kentikyan on 11 September 1987) is an Armenian-German former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2016. She was born in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, but left the country with her family at the age of five because of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. "Just a Gigolo" is a popular song, adapted by Irving Caesar into English in 1929 from the Austrian tango "Schöner Gigolo, armer Gigolo", composed in 1928 in Vienna by Leonello Casucci to lyrics written in 1924 by Julius Brammer.
