''The Marshal of Windy Hollow'' is a 1972 American Western film directed by Jerry Whittington and starring Sunset Carson. The film is unique in that it reunites several well-known B movie actors from 1940s Westerns for one last outing. Plot The plot is standard Western B movie fare. The Marshal of Windy Hollow (Sunset Carson) teams up with a Texas Ranger (Ken Maynard) to stop a band of outlaws who are preying on innocent settlers and stealing their gold. Sunset Carson (born Winifred Maurice Harrison or Michael Harrison; November 12, 1920 – May 1, 1990) was an American B-western star of the 1940s. Early life, acting Carson was born on November 12, 1920, at Gracemont, Oklahoma, as either Winifred Maurice Harrison or Michael Harrison, to Maurice Greely Harrison and Azalee Belle McAdams. He moved to Plainview, Texas, as a child (per the 1930 US Census Hale County, Texas). Carson became an accomplished rodeo rider in his youth. For a time he worked in a western show owned by early cowboy actor Tom Mix. In 1940 he traveled to South America, where he competed in rodeos for two years. After his return to the U.S., he played small parts in the 1943 film ''Stage Door Canteen'', and the big budget 1944 film '' Janie'', both having him billed as "Michael Harrison". Norman Sheldon (writer)
Norman Sheldon was a Scottish soccer player and hall of famer who played in Canada in the early half of the 1900s. Early life Sheldon was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada, more specifically Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, in 1906 after a junior football career in Scotland. It was the community of Prince Albert where Sheldon continued to play until 1929. Career Throughout that time period, Sheldon was chosen three times to represent Canada, however, he was only able to play for them once. He was first elected in 1912 for a tour of England. He has the honor of being the only Saskatchewan soccer player to be selected to Canada in which they would compete against the Scots in their 1921 tour of Canada. Sheldon would play two games during that tour. He would play on 28 June in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and 9 July in Montreal, Quebec. Dewells "Dee" Barton Jr. (September 18, 1937 — December 3, 2001) was an American jazz trombonist, big band drummer, and prolific composer for big band and motion pictures. He is best known for his association with the Stan Kenton Orchestra. Life Early years Dee Barton was born in Houston, Mississippi in 1937. The family moved to Starkville, Mississippi in 1941. His father became the band director at Starkville High School. "My dad brought home an old Mellophone, E flat mellophone and at the age of three I figured out the fingerings on it," said Barton. Barton later took up the trombone. He practiced in the school band room for 10 hours a day, and was able to help when his father was ill. Kenneth Olin Maynard (July 21, 1895 – March 23, 1973) was an American actor and producer. He was mostly active from the 1920s to the 1940s and considered one of the biggest Western stars in Hollywood. Maynard was also an occasional screenwriter and director. He is probably best known from his roles as Black Vulcan in ''Super Friends'', Blaster in '' The Transformers'', Doc in '' G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero'' and Winston Zeddemore in ''The Real Ghostbusters'' (replacing Arsenio Hall) and later ''Extreme Ghostbusters''. He was born in Paris, Tennessee.
