The Majorettes
''The Majorettes'' (released in the United Kingdom as ''One by One'') is a 1986 American slasher film directed by S. William Hinzman, written and produced by John A. Russo, which he adapted from his own novel. Its plot follows a string of serial killings centered on the majorette squad of a small-town high school. Plot A camouflage-clad serial killer has begun mysteriously killing the members of the school's majorette squad under the guise of "saving their souls" before they reach adulthood. The local sheriff and a federal agent investigate the killings. Pregnant teenager Nicole Hendricks is among the first victims, who is attacked and murdered alongside Tommy Harvack, a male acquaintance. Her body is found lying on the shore of a creek. Meanwhile, detective Roland Martell is carrying on an affair with teenaged Marie Morgan, a friend of Nicole. Bill Hinzman
Samuel William Hinzman (October 24, 1936 – February 5, 2012) was an American actor and film director. Hinzman's first role was the cemetery zombie in the popular horror film ''Night of the Living Dead'' (1968). He reprised the role in new scenes that were filmed for the 30th-anniversary edition of the film. Hinzman also played roles in the films '' Legion of the Night'' (1995), '' Santa Claws'' (1996), '' Evil Ambitions'' (1996), and '' The Drunken Dead Guy'' (2005). His final role was in ''River of Darkness'', where he played a lead role alongside Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and Sid Eudy. He later directed the films ''The Majorettes'' (1986), and '' Flesheater'' (1988). His name is spelled "Heinzman" in the original Night of the Living Dead credits. During filming of ''Night of the Living Dead'', crew member Gary Streiner accidentally caught himself on fire while attempting to ignite a prop with gasoline. Vestron Pictures was an American film studio and distributor, a former division of Austin O. Furst, Jr.'s Vestron Inc., that is best known for their 1987 release of ''Dirty Dancing''. The company is a defunct successor corporation of the earlier video distributor, Vestron Video.
